  1. It'll all be worth the hassle when you finally get that Golden Ticket!!

But Wen66, that's great news though! Means they are processing your visa and it's not just sitting there untouched! :) Silence on our end! Been almost a month since our medicals, so *not* so patiently waiting! :)

    My thoughts exactly:biggrin:, after I'd calmed down.. Have a fab weekend, everyone.x

  2. You will need full certificates, for every one on the application. I ordered mine and were here within a few days

Thankyou. I am a bit cross the agent didn't mention this when we uploaded our certs months ago.

I've just ordered one, so hopefully here within 5 working days. :-)

Looks like I need to order another one for my OH...:(

...just when you think, you're close....another delay....

  3. Can I suggest that everybody updates their Signatures with info of :-

    Date of State Nomination,

    Date of Visa Lodgement,

    Date CO Assigned,

    Date Docs Uploaded

It helps others understand where they may sit in respect to everybody else on the waiting queue.

    Cheers

    Eddie

I can't get mine to appear, sorry:( will try again.

    Ooh look, there it is:biggrin:

  4. A little advice needed. I have a short birth certificate. I've been using it for passports etc since 1979. My parents misplaced my original one years ago, moving house etc.... Co is requesting full birth certs for each of us. I was under the impression these had been uploaded by the agent already.;/

Anyone know if this could be an issue?

    Last hurdle not far, hopefully..........cheers.x

  5. Oh no Wen! So sorry to hear that. Will you need to buy a car/van over there? After many months debating we realised that we would have to buy a vehicle of some sort (eventually 2) and buying one was going to probably work out not much different as getting the van over plus all our holidays are now sorted having the van with us! One of the things that swayed us was looking at the cost of VW T4/5s in oz and to buy an equivalent one was going to cost anywhere between 45-60 dollars! In the end it seemed worth while to take it. I guess we are lucky though our funds to get us there are from our equity and we are ok. Hope things turn out different and you manage to keep her xxx

We looked at the converted campers when we were there on holiday. I was shocked at the price! Then, I worried about about the cost of parts and repair. I will be very sad as it will be the end of an era...although secretly me and my eldest want a T2 kombi:-) Hubby wants something bigger for motorbikes etc. lol..

She's been good to us and we've had some fantastic times in her, met and made some awesome friends, who I will miss.

    xx

  6. Hi wen it is a VW T5. Worke out that if we count up it's worth plus shipping and firing air con we could only get an equivalent or less over there and we know (and love) our van, it had a new engine about 4 years ago, we know the stuff needing doing etc. whereas if we buy another over there we will be taking a gamble at how good the insides are. We are getting the air con fitted there as apparently they use different ones (more powerful I think).

We have a VWT5 too but will need to sell her to generate funds. I love my van, had her for over 4 years. I looked into bringing her as well but hubby said no:-(

Although she's not on the market until we have a visa in our sticky mitts:-)

  7. 13 weeks lodged today!!! Have only been asked to supply a new passport photo!! What the frig is going on? 5 weeks with a CO and not one thing did she ask for.. Seems there is no rhyme or rhythm with these guys. Grrr Bored of waiting!

    Moan Finished....

190 visa's on the slow boat.....we're all sailing together.

Our status....waiting for Meds and Pccs to clear. Bank holiday adding to the wait. Then, if they are all ok, who knows???....a wait till July may be on the cards.

At least it's nearly summer, chin up and stay positive:jiggy:x

  8. Yes yes yes yes yes we have finally been granted our 189 visa! I'm so over the moon, I screamed, danced and then cried my eyes out with relief! Oh my god I'm so happy and can finally make plans. Thank you so much each and every one of you for your words of support and putting up with me. I'm still in shock :) xxxx

Fantastic News, Kellie!! Sooo pleased for you! xx

  9. Thanks for the info, tigerfeet! I just checked out that thread and yes the member who got the grant also had the delay email sent to them 2 weeks ago and she has the same team as me, so fingers crossed let's see some grants! :) I'm not necessarily impatient but I'm sure some of you have that 'so near yet so far' feeling as I'm feeling!

Slowly but surely...hopefully. I can't get anything done, having my fingers crossed, constantly:biggrin:x

  10. Kellie, I am the only one I know who has got a grant so quick. 5 weeks is like  !!

Is yours a 189? And which occupation.. May be it makes a difference with the new occupation ceilings etc.

That was very quick:-) I think it would be worse, if we saw no grants happening at all. I saw yours as a positive.:-)

Which state are you going to?

  11. And it's happened...... March gang getting their grants. Still nothing for us! Maybe we are not meant to go. :(

Kellie, I think he lodged in Feb, not March, from what I can see. Stay positive. At least there are grants coming through, however blinking slow they are. x

    Yup, checked...24/2 lodged.

  12. Hey all!

My morning was greeted with the news of a grant!!!

    Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!

    I got the grant.....

    Still cant believe it..

    Alls happened so quickly!

There are not enough exclamation marks in the world to express what im feeling right now...!!!!!!!

I mean, just look at the speed of the things.. I lodged my application on 6th March.

CO asked for sm extra documents on 28th March, I uploaded those yesterday and today in my inbox, my grant was waiting for me to open it!!!

    whoa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Loving my new signature.... :)

    Brilliant! Congrats!

  13. Funny how some COs are telling others that it will now likely be July and others dont mention timeframes. Mine just said "as soon as possible".

Maybe they say this on the off-chance that visa places become available

You could be right. Fingers crossed all..x
