Finally, someone got a grant on the 1st July!!!

Now that June is closed and we are moving into a New Allocation Year, what do you all anticipate will happen??

 

Will we see an in-flux of Visa Grants within the first week?

Or do your think DIBP will slowly drip feed the Grants through?

I reckon they will drip feed the grants.....Can't believe tomorrow is the 1st July!

Will they set up emails to shoot out to those waiting, automatically?? or do they go through it case by case???

I'm getting so frustrated that I've started looking for a new job, as I cant stand staying there any longer.

Would looking for and getting a new job affect my current Visa Application? Would I need to let DIBP know?

Hi guys I've applied for my 190 visa in Victoria.

 

233914 Engineering Technologist, 190 application submitted onshore 10th April, All docs submitted, medicals completed and both English and Australian PCCs uploaded. Just waiting for my case officer and hopefully approval soooon!

 

I've read a lot of messages on this forum about delays in processing applications. Have many people who lodged early this year, say Feb or March 2014, had their visas granted in the 3 months stated processing time?

 

Why do people think the DIBP is stalling the approval of applications?

If an applicant has all the required docs submitted online and medicals completed, surely there is no reason why a CO cant approve these applicants straight away.

 

Do people have confidence that our applications made in April will be processed in the stated 3 months time?

189's are being processed slowly by the looks of thing but 190's have almost ground to a halt. There's only been a few from Feb applications on PIO and I've heard some form the Expat forum. I expect it will get flowing again after 1st July when new allocation is issued. We lodged on 1st Feb. No grant to date. Look at my timeline to see our process so far. Don't worry, you'll get there. It's a very frustrating time. You get used to the waiting.:eek:

You have any idea how many 190 Feb people so far got their grants after you opened this thread? There were lots of grants came in today, couple of 190s among them and the rest are 189s. Hold on tight and stay on the line...

There's a couple but not many 190's from Feb. 189's are being processed alot quicker. Looks like they are processing the backlog from Nov/Dec.....Am not holding my breath but........the wait is killing me. The longer it takes, the shorter timescale we have to turn everything around...eek!

Asked our agent to check progress on immi site...apparently ours is "in process"...whatever that means.....:eek:

Having lodged on the 9th February we received our 190 VISA for SA on Friday the 13th! Theres still a few weeks to go and they are clearly still processing. Good luck to you all!

We have had no communication from our agent since 15th May....but, hey, that's not unusual....:eek:

I received the dreaded delay email this morning. But I only received it because I sent an email asking about the status of our application.

Only a few weeks to go till 1st July. Keep your chin:wink:

30/04/2014 First contact from CO requesting additional information. (Relationship evidence)

06/06/2014 Visa Granted!!

 

Time for me to live my life again, no more waiting for contact or the golden email. Its all in the past and I am now planning my new life in OZ.

You're lucky to hear from your agent........ I've totally given up until the 1st July. What more can we do? What happens if we don't hear on the 1st?? Back in the queue, I suppose. Our life is on hold (ie forward planning etc), weird really....living a parallel life, and it's driving me up the wall but I know I just have to be patient. Just hoping the agent has done her job properly........
