  1. Good luck and all the best. What part of UK are you returning to? We are doing the opposite having just been granted our visas, we are heading to Gold Coast me, hubby and our three children. They are 1,7 and 8. The hardest part is leaving our family and friends of whom we are very close to. We get along with both sides so well and they are a strong support network to us. We are looking at it as a two year adventure to start with and if it works out then great and if we are unhappy/missing family too much then we will return. Is that the right way to think about it? Who knows. I feel incredibly guilty to be taking my children away from their grandparents but at same time if we don't try it we will keep going on about it wishing we had given it a go. So many won't ever have this opportunity. Keep us updated on your return to UK and FYI this winter was extremely mild in terms of temperature I think hubby scraped the van once and that was it. It was a very wet winter but not freezing. Apparently we are In for a great summer too. Again good luck with your return x
  2. Coolbreeze I'll get all my info out later and check dates and add to signature but we began process beginning of September 2013 with skills Assessment through vetassess, we had positive outcome in December, booked IELTS and got points needed on 27th December, I need to check when we submitted EOI but i know we got invite to apply at first available round. Lodged visa in jan (I'll check date but I think it was around 24th) got case officer pretty quickly then done police checks, form 80 and meds on 1st march and got Grant on Wednesday 16th April whooooo hooooo so start to finish 7 and a half months!!! Not bad aye! Worst part was waiting on the grant! Vandeux we will be deciding on a date next week as depends on what way we go with house now. Do we sell AGAIN or rent it out? If we rent it we need some time to save to go but latest date to validate is 8th march. Weird how we pull out of sale then get visa granted, is someone telling us to keep house? Coolbreeze we def want to visit Adelaide so I'll hold you to that drink, if you ever come to Gold Coast same applies to you
  3. coolbreeze i I have been waiting for you to come and check lol. I was going to put 'where's coolbreeze gone'? Yes I am so happy! I woke up this morning and read through the visa grant letter again, eeeeeek. The right to reside in Australia permanently! Still can't quite believe it. Xxxxxx thank you
  4. Thank you so much all of you and congratulations to everyone who has been granted their visas. I have found this thread the place to come and air my feelings as the people on here truly understand the process and the pain! To those of you still waiting it WILL happen, I started to doubt it but don't it really will happen. Those visas are still getting granted every day mine came when I least expected it, I had given up checking each day and was actually away for a few days with the kids when my agent phoned to tell me the good news. Good luck and let us all know when you get your news. We are heading to the Gold Coast with 3 young children so anyone else heading that way lets all meet up! Cheers guys ( I still can't believe it ) ahhhhhhhhhhhh
  5. Really so that's jan lot done! Whoo hoo come on the February gang! Come on karina and micha3la I can't wait to hear your news of grants very very soon xxx
  6. Thank you and sorry didn't mean to make you feel like that. I did really start to think we were going to get declined, when we were told they were yet to receive my daughters meds etc I thought oh my god they are going to refuse us as she is deaf in one ear. But they must of sent her meds off to another department to check it over and they don't actually tell us that just leave us hanging! Then today the grant! I'm still in shock as I thought we would need to provide further info. Right who in jan lodged gang is still waiting and we can all send good vibes and wishes their way? It truly is the worst part of the whole process waiting for that grant! And you were all right...... It will happen just takes time!
  7. Haha thank you captainc, still can't believe it! X
  8. Yes greeeeeat news on the house, fantastic xxxx
  9. Hahaha my husband laughed when I read this to him! Lol. We must all meet up out there. Ahhhh we can all live in Australia it's still sinking in!
  10. Yes Massive! Soooooooo happyyyyyy xxxxx
  11. Yes yes yes yes yes we have finally been granted our 189 visa! I'm so over the moon, I screamed, danced and then cried my eyes out with relief! Oh my god I'm so happy and can finally make plans. Thank you so much each and every one of you for your words of support and putting up with me. I'm still in shock xxxx
  12. And it's happened...... March gang getting their grants. Still nothing for us! Maybe we are not meant to go.
  13. When you get the visa it will have a date to validate it by which is norm 12 months from meds. You can go and come back and then will have 5 years I think to make the move permenant. X
  14. I know exactly how you feel, it's horrible. I hope you get your grant Karina ASAP you need it more than us so I hope it comes to you very soon. Good luck Karina. X
  15. oh karina that sounds terrible, remind me where you are in process? Will you go to Aus ASAP? X
  16. Our meds are with them and it's only my daughters that they are holding up but still have not been told they have been referred and still not been asked for anything else! Would a job offer speed them up? We had meds on 1st march. We have pulled out of our house sale now and taken it off market. We have got to turn down a job offer too now as we can't possibly give a timescale or even guarantee we will get a visa. Im just so stressed now all this uncertainty driving me mad. We wanted to head to Aus in July but that won't happen now. Sorry for the rant guys but I know I can tell you lot and you feel my pain! Xx
  17. Totally fed up. Now February applicants are getting their grants. I give up!
  18. Hi guys thank you for all your kind words of support, really appreciate it. Still nothing today and maybe I need to start thinking we won't get it until July Who knows. I know this though, if the march lodged gang start getting their grants I'm going to crumble! Does anyone think that they use the meds as an excuse to slow it down and maybe the trade or area you plan to go to have any significance because I can't understand why some get it no probs whilst others are just left waiting. It's so unfair with how much money it costs too. Oh I don't know I've kinda given up trying to work it out! Am I allowed to contact case officer by phone? Or email directly even though I have an agent? Or will I get told off!
  19. each week/month that goes by cuts down timeframe to enter country by! So as it stands at mo ours is now less than 11 months!
