  1. I have made 3 GBP/AUD transfers via WORLD FIRST within the last 3 months and all have been fee free and trouble free and their margin can be as little as 1/3rd of 1.0% which means they take ,at current exchange levels about a half a cent for every 1 GBP exchanged cheers Barry
  2. Hi We all make mistakes at some time or other but it doesn't take anything to be pleasant to each other
  3. Hi According to the auto reply email from WA PVC just this week visa 173 to 143 takes 8 months to assign a CO from the date of LODGEMENT of the application (not acknowledgement date) If applying for the 143 without going through the visa 173 route ,again WA PVC auto reply is quoting 18 months from lodgement date to. assigning a CO Cheers
  4. Hi in the auto reply received on Monday of this week, PVC said they are assessing 143s lodged in January 2013
  5. Wow I can answer my own question !!!!!!! We sent an enquiry to parents@immi.gov.au asking how we could determine how and when the results of our medicals would be communicated to us. We received an email this morning as follows : I can confirm that we have received your health results electronically and they satisfy our requirements. Had there been any issues you would have received a letter from Global Heath Section. Asking you to attend your GP and explain why. Hope this helps others in the same position our medicals were on the 26th June
  6. Hi everyone, Has anyone ever been told their medical was successful ? It appears you wait until you are allocated a CO. ( 6months) . Having paid nearly £300 you would think you were entitled to know one way or another. I suppose if there was an issue you would get to know very quickly. Living in hope everything is ok.
  7. Been in contact with IMMI and they quote "processing time for Contributory Parent Visa is currently taking approximately 16 months from receiving an application for a CPV until assessment stage. They are currently processing applications received in January 2013 They also state that new applications for the following visas will cease tomorrow 1st June : non-contributory parent category (including 103 and 804)Other Family Category (subclasses 114 and 838)Aged Dependent relative Remaining relative(subclasses 115 and 835) and subclasses 116 836 (carer) Very sad news for many people.
  8. How have people found the medicals. What kind of questions do they ask. Are they very rigorous ?
  9. Hi I think if you email your CO and explain the circumstances I'm sure he/she will allow you time to renew your passport and then apply for the PCC As far as I am aware the only occasion when they give you a deadline is when they are requesting the final VAC payment prior to granting the visa hope this helps ps don't forget to include the case officers name and team, together with your application file reference . Also include the reference FRM80s (this reference covers form 80 and PCC queries) in the email subject line cheers Veronique
  10. Hi Can you refresh my memory please ? Is the PCC the personal particulars & character - form 80 or the police criminal record check cheers. Veronique
  11. Hi Daeria, if I was you I would use a Migrant Agent otherwise you will kick yourself if you forget something or don't get it done on time. It's quite a complicated and if you are having to rush the process you could make a costly mistake. Alan Collett from Go Matilda is very knowledgeable and offers good advice. I would choose him - it could save you a lot of money at the end of the day. Which ever way you choose Best Wishes
  12. Hi Both my husband and myself are 70 and applied for a 143 visa in June last year – hoping to receive the visa Dec / Jan – so it’s a long wait. We applied from the UK. To obtain visa 864 you must hold a CPV temporary visa 884 and this would be applied for in Aus. Not 100% sure of the above but read the parent book from immi – it’s a bit of a minefield but after you have read it about 6 times things do become clear. Hope this helps If you want to ask any other questions feel free so send a private message.
  13. Hi Allan Is it possible for an Australian resident to pay the 2nd VAC by EFTPOs on our behalf, after transferring fund to them cheers Veronique
  14. Hi Boss2468 nearly there-congratulations and hope you have a great new life in Oz I would be interested in the methods of payment you have been given to pay the 2nd VAC Cheers Veronique
  15. Hi Boss2468 the date you have on your timeline for the AOS must be a typing error - should it not be 19/02/2014
  16. Hi We sent an email to IMMI enquiring about HAP Id's,we received an auto reply stating that our email would receive appropriate attention if we selected a code from a list provided. Enquiries regarding HAP Id's. Were given the code HAPLTR (HAP Letter) We then wrote again and received a reply within 10days and were provided with our HAP number. Hope you find this info useful.
  17. HAP Id means health assessment portal identification which one must have to arrange a health examination with a ehealth centre
  18. Hi everyone, with reference to issue of HAP id's. We requested our HAP id's on March 9using IMMI's referencing system - we requested our HAP id''s by including HAPLTR and our file reference in the subject matter. (Our a Acknowledgement letter stipulated that we could proceed with our medicals after 14th June ) On 20th March would you believe they supplied us with the HAP. We are CPV 143 applicants. Cheers and good luck to all those still waiting.
  19. Hi About a week ago I made an enquiry with "immi" about issue of HAP I'd,s and included in the Auto Reply they stated that they are processing CPV,s lodged 12 August 2012 so I would have thought you should have had a CO assigned by now Needless to say they have not responded to the HAP Id query
  20. Hi - Is the timeline improving at last? Lodgement to CO in 18 months and not 18 months from the Acknowledgment date. . Good luck with the final processing
  21. Hi 1724rej| We lodged our application in June 2013 and this was acknowledged in September 2013 with a letter requesting we have a Police Clearance commencing 10 months after June 2013 (April 2014) and Medical assessment commencing 12 months after June 2013 (June 2014) We have been requested to retain these documents until requested by our case officer. We haven't got a HAP number yet and evidently you cannot have your medical without a HAP. We are going to Aus in April and will visit the Parent Visa Centre and request up dated information. Will post any information received. It's a waiting game. Good luck with your application.
  22. STAG Sadly your acknowledgement takes about four months and the latest news is that it can take up to 19 months from the lodgement date to receive your visa !!!!! In the meantime the visa centre does not communicate at all. The only thing you can be positive about is that they have taken your money so your paper work will be in the system somewhere. This site is great for keeping up to date and following the progress of others. We lodged our application in June 2013 we anticipate we will have our visa January 2015. What a wait. Be optimistic things could change (doubtful)
  23. QUOTE=Boss2468;1936393215]:cool:Hi Everyone. Finally our wish come true.Today we got email from case officer. He ask us for AOS,Medical and PCC. Our acknowledgement date was 13/08/2012. Best wishes for Christmas and Good Luck to everyone waiting for their visa.
