Hi all, I am looking to apply for the state nominationed visa (190). I have 55 points which includes 10 points from IELTS General test. According to my occupation, I must sit the General test and achieve minimum 7s which I have. I've sat this test twice and it's proving hard to get the 8 in Reading in order to get the 8s to get this 20 points. My question, do I need to get the 8s in General test or can I get the 8s in the Academic test? Not too sure how this 20 points in english test really works. Please advice. Thanks

Hi all, Having read the posts in this forum and various websites, the key restriction for subclass 190 is that you must live and work in the relevant state (I'm going for Melbourne, Victoria with my family). Does this rule apply to entire family or the main person applying for the visa 190? My family to stay in another state and I would be in Melbourne. Also, once the visa is approved and I go to Melbourne, does my family need to check-in \ register somewhere (inform someone authority that we're here)? Thanks in advance Mitesh
