  1. We are the same. Nearly demanded our money back after several situations. Our first case worker was actually sacked so our new one seems to be a lot better and answers my emails and actually calls me or phones me back if I ask her to. We also paid in full so don't really want anymore stress ontop of things. If anything complex does come up then I'm hoping that they will be able to deal with it but can't imagine that will happen. Hubby away at moment so not putting in for EOI till September as have heard a lot of them are coming back pretty quickly. Also gives us a small break from the stress of waiting, paperwork and headaches lol
  2. Hi husband got his successful outcome for tra skills assessment eventually last week as a machinist. He is currently away at the moment so was not going to put EOI for 189 visa until September. Question is how do you know when an occupation has reached its ceiling? He has 65 points. Thanks
  3. It really depends on your situation. We went with an agent as I was heavily pregnant and the thought of dealing with it with a new baby etc. but really wish I had done it myself. Agent forgot to send off our payslips for skills assessment so had to pay again for it. luckily it was before the price increase. We still have a hell of a lot of paperwork and really wonder what on earth agents actually do as iv seems iv been doing all the work anyway. I told them about the price increase for July etc and the only thing they seem to do is upload documents and advise us if they receive a letter or now. Can't get money back so sticking with them now. If you do the research involved and make sure you send off everything including more that needed for proof of documents earnings qualifications experience and pay then it should be fine. Also you can always ask ppl on this forum Good luck
  4. regarding agent i would not go with the one we are with (not able to name them on forums)- but heard a lot of good things from agent Go Matilda
  5. we got told that he had to have 3 years after qualification before applying for skills assessment. So would mean that you would have to wait unfortunately but you could always speak to an agent regarding this??? They would be able to tell you if you are able to apply for it or not. Regarding a job etc - he knows a couple of ppl already working in Australia who will pass on his C.V and also we are with an agent who advised that they would be able to find him a job (not holding my breathe on that one tho) we are not moving over till he has a job as we have two little girls and need security beforehand. Good luck tho
  6. Hi my hubby is going to Australia as metal machinist. Just got successful outcome on tra skills assessment. It's no sols list so we are about to apply for 189 visa. So long as you have at least 3 years of work experience after you finished your qualifications and you have employers references, pay slips and statutory declaration on jobs tools etc that you use to prove it.
