Hi all!
Just wanted to let you know that we received our visas on Monday, 28 Oct! We applied in Melbourne on 16 Sept, so the entire process took about 6 weeks. We caused a slight delay of about a week in getting our medicals arranged, so I do think that the process could have been shortened a little.
Our timeline is as follows:
16 Sept: Submitted 457 visa application
30 Sept: Received invitation to submit medical assessment evidence
17 Oct: Attended medical assessment
19 Oct: Medical results submitted
28 Oct: Approval received
Good luck to everyone else waiting for visas!

Pavy,
I agree with cthads. If your MA is not having any luck, maybe you will. In any event, writing to the CO may answer some of the questions your MA has yet to respond to.
I totally accept your apology and proffer mine. I came back to edit my comment to remove the snarkiness but you have since replied.
You're totally right in what you have said and make a valid point.
Sorry again for being Ms Grumpy-Chops
Whilst what you say may be correct, I never said that we were emigrating. Do correct me if I am wrong.
Otherwise, thanks for your random, unsolicited advice.
Hi Wendy!
SO and I are applying for a 457 visa; from what I understand, there isn't much assessing compared to other types of visas.
I found it really helpful to search for 457 visas on this forum and get advice from people seeking the same

Congratulations, KOKORO! Well done
@MMuZ, I think you get an email from your CO with contact details? At least that's how mine came through - I received an email with the CO's details, advising what type of medicals my SO and I needed to have.
@Everyone: how did you get your IMMI log in details? Are they emailed to you?
That's really scary. Which city did you lodge your visa in, @pavy, @admiral0001, @Karlosvandango, @David Ng and @Wesso1715? I wonder if different cities have different processing speeds?
Yeah, no. We submitted our visas on 16 Sept. Do'h!
