  1. Maybe so, but everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Even lawyers. Isn't it MARA's job to make sure that the lawyers are doing their job correctly?
  2. Is your lawyer on the list? http://www.smh.com.au/federal-politics/political-news/secret-blacklist-of-immigration-lawyers-20140503-37oyw.html

  4. You may be able to obtain Medicare if a Permanent Resident application has been made. Get a letter from DIBP indicating a PR application has been made and take to a Medicare office to ask for a temporary Medicare card. http://www.humanservices.gov.au/customer/enablers/medicare/medicare-card/eligibility-for-medicare-card
  5. Did you check the other site for your status? Did you try to call DIBP?
  6. I said looked at by a CO. There could be lots of things happening from either the COs side or the applicant's. Always good to make sure your contact details are up to date with your agent and DIBP.
  7. If it says its being processed further means its being looked at by a CO. Are you sure you or your agent hasn't been contacted?
  8. The allocation page says you should be contacted within two weeks. http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/estimated-allocation-times.htm
  9. Try logging into http://www.immi.gov.au/Services/Pages/immiaccount.aspx Or https://www.ecom.immi.gov.au/inquiry/query/query.do?action=eVisa to see your status or if anything has been sent to you.

    Form 80

We had to fill out a form 80 when we applied for our 175 in 2009 and an updated on in 2013 when it was being processed. We're Canadian. If you haven't been requested to fill one out, maybe wait till it's requested. Though it's a good idea to have the info needed to fill it out just in case. Glad we didn't have to do the new one. It was hard enough updating our old one.
  17. We just had to say when we could leave Australia so they could grant the visa. It was granted the first business day we were away.
  18. Granted! We can now reenter Australia
  19. It all depends when you need the check. Remember the check only lasts a year. If you are in Australia you will likely also need an AFP check too. We went the manual route and got the paper finger prints from the cop shop and sent them to Canada. We didn't have to get them digitized. It took less than 90 days. But we didn't get a CO until after a year. Since we didn't move back during that time we didn't have to get another one, just the AFP check. If you have a case officer now and they are asking for it then go the quick route with one of the recommended agencies otherwise if you have time just go the normal route. I just noticed that as of 1 July that they will have to be digitized. http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cr-cj/fing-empr2-eng.htm
  20. Just have to temporarily leave Australia and come back to validate my visa and we are all done!

  22. Looks like they are still allocating prior to the 25 May 2009 on the allocation table.
  23. Don't tell me they are slowing down again.
