  1. 8 months back I was granted PR after transitioning from 457 to ENS 186. As it is employer nominated can I change jobs so soon without it affecting my PR status?
  2. I saw the migration cover and got a quote. I thought the price was a bit high. I didn't seem to have an option to take out the redundancy part.
  3. Hi all I remember hearing about an insurance policy you can take out where your travel costs are covered back to UK in the event of serious family member illness. I can't find too much on the web about this. Anyone ever heard of this or used such a product?
  4. They are a global company with offices all over the world. HQ is in US.. Office I dealt with in Sydney
  5. It was a quotation email On the quote it said $3500 They are saying that this was 3500 USD (they did not stipulate that it was USD). They even had other figures on the email which were in AUD and these have been invoiced in AUD. It's just this one fee for the services that they are being sneaky about.
  6. Hi all I used a MA through my company to prepare our ENS 186 Nomination Application. The agency quoted me an amount in email of $3500 plus GST for their fees. Thankfully our visa has been approved and we now have the invoice. The only problem is the amount is now $5000 as they have worded the invoice that it is converted to USD. There was no mention of this in the email with the quote. As my company have been invoiced they are now trying to get the extra $1500 off me. This obviously is so wrong. If it was done on my own I would tell the agency to whistle for it. As it was done through my employer I am worried that if I do this then I will be in breach of an agreement and I will face disciplinary proceedings at work.
  7. Yes I did... I don't think it speeded it up much. Just as long as you have all your medicals done by the time the CO reviews the case is key. We got ours done a week after lodgement.
  8. OMG!!!! Just checked my immi account and it has gone from Application Received to Finalised. I can't get hold of my MA but I'm assuming it's party time.. If I click on the link I can see it says granted but I can't view the grant letter. Is this because it has gone to my MA?
  9. No.. Just wondering if you can check yourself or if relying on your MA keeping you up to date.
  10. If your CO has requested more info/docs about the nomination side of your application what would your immi status show?
  11. Still waiting from first week of May. I've heard buggerall and application still says Application Recieved.. I'm at the point now where I think it's never going to change.
  12. How de-moralising is it logging into your immiaccout for the umpteenth time each day only to see application received...
  13. I'm trying to find out where my processng centre is. I read somewhere that you can check your Acknolwledgement letter. Trouble is I can't find this. I lodged the application through a MA. My ImmiAccount just shows Application Received.
  14. No way that is way too fast... Are you sure it was 2015? Congratulations :-)
  15. We employ 1 maybe 2 designated trainers along with room rental and equipment for them. I'm assuming the wages and cost of rent/equipment could be included?
  16. I think it depends on what the internal training is. E.g. if you have a designated trainer whom you pay wages then I think that is ok. You could also claim for room rental etc. I don't think you can include staff wages while they were training.
  17. After 2 years on a 457 we are in the process of applying for PR through the temporary residents transition stream. We are using a MA. On the employer nominatio form from the agency it asks for the amount spent on training over the past 12 months. It says that if you are applying through the direct entry stream you need to provide evidence of the amount spent. Does this mean that in my case it's not needed? I know my employer is struggling to get the figures together and suspect they will provide a guesstimate. I'm worried that if they do this they won't have evidence to back it up. Does anyone have any advice or similar experiences?
  18. Suzy, Did you apply through MA? If you did I would expect that they would have checked this to see if there were any potential issues. I am in the process of getting my employer to nominate me through a MA, through temporary resident transition stream. On the questionnaire that the agency have sent my employer there is a sentence that says "If you are applgying through direct entry you need to supply evidence of the expenditure of training" I thought it was required. For me I'm nervous about this as we are a large international corporation and I know that HR are struggling to pull all the training figure together.
  19. Yea he's under 11 so the photo's need signing. We could try the school, doctor etc but we have been here less than 2 years. I forgot I know a person at work whom I knew before we came out here so I will ask him to do it.
  20. My Mother yesterday went to the local registry office and got a full birth certificate with their names on it. It looks like it is a copy of the original handwritten certificate. Will it be ok that it is handwritten?
  21. I eventually found my birth certificate and realized my parents were too tight to pay for the full version which has their names on it. Anyone know if you can get a replacement which has their names on it? If I can't what other documents can I use to verify my identity? Do I have to supply this bearing in mind I am the one being nominated by me employer and I have full UK passport?
  22. My employer will do the nomination for ENS 186 but the actual application is up to me. I could ask them to cover the cost for us.. I've been given a quote of $4500 for the agent fees (for a family of 5). It seems a bit steep for someone just to check the forms and make sure you have all the relevant docs or are am I missing something?
