  1. Hi Jen We are just in the process of arranging to take our collie X whippet to Sydney. Take a look at http://www.petairuk.com/..they have been awesome so far and are very quick at responding to any queries/concerns. Thanks Carl
  2. Hi Flatpack, couldn't help but laugh at your story there!! Many thanks for your advice
  3. Morning, Having just recieved my grant, i have noticed my passport runs out in 2015. Has anyone had similar? What i would like to know is the form 929..does it have to be posted or is email/fax ok? Many thanks
  4. Hi Chami...please dont worry about CO allocation. Ours took about a month, some take longer. I think its the workload that they have. Good luck to all! c
  5. Morning all, we got the golden ticket this morning after giving case office a few nudges!! Over the moon!1:biggrin:
  6. Great news..they seem to be moving rather quickly at present. We are going on my wifes social worker skills and our timeline has flown by! Good luck
  7. Hi Laura..you need to go in via diac website and create a new account. Once you are in, there will be an option to migrate your old application to the new system. C
  8. Morning all We are so close now..just need to arrange medicals. Problem is...my wife is showing as her maiden name and her old passport when it comes to printing off the HAP id letter. The hospital are saying she would be flagged as a security concern if we went ahead with the medicals...even though our visa application clearly shows her new passport and married name. I think this has happened due to the Immi website picking up her old passport details as we did get a tourist visa in 2012 for our honeymoon. Just waiting on C/O to respond..hopefully it should be ok! C
  9. Morning all Well we got our case officer this morning. I am a bit confused about something, so if someone could advise that would be great :-) - We have been asked for evidence of employment - when we did the aasw assesment, we paid an extra £150 as it said the info would be transfered to the migration team. I have already sent them the breakdown of the positive skills assesment, so i am unsure as to why they need further clarity. This could prove difficult as my wife had an old bank account which is now closed where at least 3 yeas of salary went to ( she was self employed ). Has anyone else had to send further info? Regards C

  11. Hi Guys We applied early in November. PCC sent off this week and will arrange medicals as soon as we can. We were surprised our EOI was accepted so quickly!! Good luck to all!
  12. Hi All, we are just waiting to arrange medicals. Pcc sent off today so that shouldn't be too long. Good luck to everyone!!
  13. Hi Rupert, thanks for the reply. Yes she is the primary applicant. Its very odd, as i have just read the app review and it clearly shows her as our married name, as does her skill select account and also the invite to apply. Its just she is now getting refered to on emails as her maiden name and also just above where you have to attach documents etc...as i said very odd. I dont see it being a massive issue, i will attach a letter with screen shots of various correspondence and also passport/birth certs. I feel the system may be playing up...we did mention her maiden name as a previous known name and also that she travelled previously to OZ under her maiden name too...we shall see. Thanks again
  14. Good morning all. My wife and i have just lodged our 189 visa application. Our skill select is in our married name, my wife's passport is in her married name as shown on the recap/reciept of submission. Yet we have received email confirming the application and it shows up as my wife's maiden name as the primary applicant. Has anyone else had this issue? i know that the applicant details at the very start are auto populated from your invite, so im a bit unsure as to the conflicting data. Many thanks
  15. Yes, we are trying to load up a saved visa application and it is just timing out..hope it gets fixed soon!! Anyone else getting this issue?
  16. Hi, yes thats we are going to do. We have put the old number and used the day of the new "married" passport as the expiry. Thanks all for your help.
  17. Sadly not, completely different.
  18. Hi all We will be submitting our visa app shortly. EOI was 18 sept on 60 points ( partners the main applicant ), invite received 07/10. Hope all goes well for everyone.
  19. Hi all A bit stuck on a section of the visa app, wonder if anyone could shed some light for me please? We are applying for a 189 having received our invite. One section asks have you ever visited Australia previously. We did last year for our honeymoon, and my wife was using her maiden name passport as it was only a day after the wedding. The form asks if you travelled on an expired/different passport. In a way it has expired as she has a new one with our married name. The old one was supposed to expire in 2021, yet it wont let you put an expiry date later than today. Has anyone else experienced this? I don't want to be putting false info on the form but i am tempted to put the expiry date as today. Many thanks

    EOI rules

Hi all Quick question if i can? If we are to submit an EOI for a 189 visa, if we don't hear anything from them for a while, when are we able to apply for 190 EOI instead? Many Thanks
  21. Hi there My wife has just filled out the AASW skill assessment She has been fully qualified for 5 years in July, do you think if we sent the paperwork off now they will have assessed it before 1st July? We need the points so it may be best waiting until nearer July to send it off....just want to get the ball rolling now to be honest. Many Thanks
  22. Hi there..i have a family member in OZ, and they suggest not taking a TV, due to problems with the sound conversion over there. I may be wrong though.
  23. Thanks for this. She is the Principle Applicant so yeah i guess she would need to do the assesment. Thanks again
  24. Hi There New to the site so go easy. My wife and i have decided to take the plunge and settle in Australia. My sister in law lives in sydney, and we went on honeymoon last year and fell in love with the place. We are going to apply for 190 state sponsorship in WA. My wife is a social worker which we were told at the Manchester expo is on the skills list. Very quick question to start with....does she need to complete a skills assesment before we fire of an EOI? Many thanks
