  1. Thanks again xxlornaxx they don't make it easy for us do they! Like to keep us guessing and waiting. Your right, it's been well over 30 days so I assume it's been done! Onwards to the next step!!
  2. Just read the auto response from nmc and it does say 30 days is their aim to action these requests. I e mailed my request on the 24th september! They also say they will confirm via return e mail once the request has been actioned. So I guess I wait! Should have really read all of this before I asked for help! oops! It's been a long day!! ; )
  3. Hi xxlornaxx, thanks for the reply! I received confirmation that my verification had been sent, surely they do something similar to let people know about transcript? Hmmm so It may have already gone! I've been waiting for confirmation before I started the skills assessment, didn't want to start then have to wait ages for that. So I should probably get a wriggle on then. Thanks so much for shedding light on this! I could have been waiting forever!: )
  4. Hello all! I require your wisdom yet again!! I e mailed the nmc regarding the transcript for my nursing course what seems like decades ago (probably a month). My uni doesn't have the transcript for the course I did so I'm waiting to see if the nmc can provide one or info to satisfy anmac. For those who have also been through this with the nmc, how long did you wait? I'm becoming a tad impatient!! thanks again for any help!! Bouncy x
  5. Hi there, I'm a children's nurse working in the uk, I have masses of experience working in paediatric cardiology so thought about options for working within this field in oz. We hope to go to western Australia. I've researched on the Internet but can't seem to find a children's cardiology service in any of the hospitals! Seems strange since western Australia is so massive. Surely there is something that I'm missing? Thanks for any replies! Bouncy.
  6. Thsnks for that baz, good to know. I guess it one less thing to get certified !!
  7. Hi rupert, I can afford to lose 5 points on either the work experience or the qualifications but not both, if I can claim for both I have 65 points, so ill have to claim as many as I can in one of those areas. Is 60 points sufficient to be invited to apply quite quickly after eoi or would I end up waiting a while?
  8. Hi baz thanks for the reply! Great that clears up my employment. The degree is not in nursing as such but was done through my job continuing inter professional development they call it, it's in child health so it's not in nursing as such but very much related to it! It's a degree for qualified nurses. Would this still count, for the points?
  9. Hi there, hope someone can help me with this, it's got me a bit confused! Just want to make sure I'm claiming for the correct amount of points, when I reach that stage! I've been qualified and employed as a nurse for 9 years, I have also had 2 years off on maternity leave when I had my 2 babies! Was still employed and maintained my registration during this time! Would I be able to claim 15 points or just 10 for this? Also I have my diploma in nursing and recently a degree, so can I claim 15 points for this? Or just 10 as my registered nurse qualification is diploma, my degree is cipd child health. Any wisdom is much appreciated!! Kind regards, bouncy.
  10. Hi there, I'm planning to do the stuff on the ielts website but having 2 young boys I've not got alot of spare time! I'm rubbish at exams and I'm dreading it. I've got a couple of books from amazon too, just need to open them now! Think I'm going to try and do an hour or 2 every couple of nights for a couple of weeks before the test, my head will explode if I cram loads in. Yikes, not looking forward to it! Good luck with yours!
  11. Thanks so much for your reply, really appreciate it.
  12. Hi all, hoping you nurses out there can help with what are some probably obvious questions. I've got my ielts booked for July,(not looking forward to it). I'm confused as to where I need to get the results Sent to, is it ANMAC or AHPRA? Im guessing ANMAC as they will be the ones assessing my skills? Also if I request to have the result sent to the appropriate place will I also get a copy? If I do get a copy, can I send a certified copy to DIAC for visa application? As I said I appreciate that the answers to these question are probably totally obvious but after too much research, reading and more reading, I've become totally confused! God help me when it comes to the visa application if I'm already confused! Thanks in advance for any help you can give!!
