Hi Genie1 we are in the same position. We are also waiting for a case office for a 173 visa. 15 months at the end of this month and still waiting. Have just put our bungalow up for sale with fingers crossed. We just want to get our CO so we can do medicals and police checks. Patience is a virtue so they say!!!!

Hi can anyone advise whether it is worth getting our medicals & police checks done now. We applied for 173 July 2012 so am hoping to hear anytime soon. I just want to get things moving so if this will speed things up it will be great. Am going from excited and can't wait to go to being terrified and are we doing the right thing! Am sure you can all relate to how we are feeling. Thanks.

Hi I lodged our visa 173 which was acknowledged 27.7.2012. It seems that 173 are slower than 143?? still waiting to hear. Can anyone tell me if you can obtain an Oz driving licence with a 173 or have you got to be a permanent resident? We have done it this way to spread the cost! Thanks.

Hi I am new to all this. Applied for CPV 173 last July. Was told should hear about June this year. Can anyone tell me how they paid the large visa fee? Also I am in receipt of 4 small pensions here in the uk. How do I get these monthly sums transferred to Oz. I understand that they will be frozen but thats ok. Any advice will be helpfull. Thanks.
