Hi Folks,
I am in a bit of a dilemma and don’t know what to do, hopefully someone can help!
I submitted an application for 189 (60 points) and 190 Victoria SS (65 points) on the same EOI, after a week I have now had an invite to apply for a 189 visa. However, I am now unsure if I can get points for a ‘closely related skill occupation’ and will therefore drop 5 points below the threshold of 60 and not qualifying for a 189 visa.
I have now had an email from Victoria stating –‘We are not able to locate the Expression of Interest (EOI) submitted with the EOI ID E******** provided. If the applicant has been invited to apply for the Skilled Independent (189) visa on the same EOI ID, we will not able to view the EOI.
Should you wish to continue with the nomination by Victoria for the Skilled Nominated (190) visa you will need to confirm in SkillSelect that the EOI is valid: http://www.skillselect.govspace.gov.au, and provide us with an update. Alternatively you may provide a new EOI reference.
If you do not respond within two weeks the nomination will be withdrawn and the file closed.’
Can I create a brand new EOI omitting the closely related skill occupation and email the new number to Victoria?
Can we lodge multiple EOI’s?
I cannot see anywhere on the Skills Select website that states we can’t but on the same hand I do not want to jeopardise the application.
Thanks in advance.
Paul
