  1. I have loved reading this thread and particularly so as a fellow teacher. Not wanting to climb the ladder seems to be frowned upon in the UK and I cannot wait to cash my 190 in and make the move permanently next year. Here's to putting life and family before work.
  2. Any news on your application Del?
  3. I'm not sure but would your application go on your age when you do your EOI?
  4. I teach and have just had a visa grant. AITSL don't rush for anyone either sorry bud but you should be OK for March. Just stay on top of your agent and make sure they are doing their bit. Get your EOI set up ready to go so the second your assessment comes through, you can get it in. After that things move quickly. You could front load your meds and police check too to help.
  5. As previously stated, if your case is straight forward and it looks like you will score enough points, go for it. Check your job is on and submit your EOI. Get your skills assessed by the relevant agency, sit IELTS if needed then apply for State Sponsorship. Hopefully you will then receive an invite to apply proper. I found this web forum to be fantastic for help if you need it at any point too. Good luck!
  6. All the very best with the move. I don't wish to sound all doom and gloom but this morning I have read about a climber in New Zealand whose medical insurance was voided because in the small print it said that they wouldn't pay out because he hadn't been resident in the UK, where he was from and where he took the policy out, for the previous 6 months. It sounds ridiculous but a lot of insurance firms will try and wriggle out of claims if they can. Having literally just read this I thought I should pass the info on. Good luck with everything. Chall.
