Hi Sarah, yes you can we have our medicals booked gone next week and had our police checks done in May and haven't been allocated a case officer yet. We wanted everything ready to go. Hoping to go over to brisbane end of this year sometime. x

Submitted 1st may with 60 points. Going to lodge application next couple of weeks and then book medical.

You are right Steven, thankyou. Was having a minor panic attack thinking vetassess no longer assess carpenters for visa purposes. Panic over, onto the next.

Hi all. my partner has passed his vetassess skill assessment for carpentry and I'm now doing the EOI but its saying that vetassess are not the assessing authority for this skill????? I cant move on with the application leaving it as vetassess. I'm on the verge of a meltdown, can someone please tell me why it is saying this. thanks rose

We just sent 3 tax returns and 3 bank statements, all still going through now so not heard result yet. I'm assuming it's enough as they did contact us for certified copies of certificates even though they were in colour so I'm guessing if 3 wasn't enough they would of said then. Yes I think so we send them just to prove you are doing the job you are qualified in. It's my other half that's the main applicant but I'm doing all the work. :wink: X

We ended up emailing and asking if they have received our docs, they replied with an email saying they sent us an email on the 12th asking for certified copies of his certificates. They didn't email on the 12th and the copies I sent in were colour - I was under the impression colour copies didn't have to be certified?? on the positive at least they received them but a notification of this would have saved a lot of stressing, also thank goodness we emailed otherwise we would never of known we had to send in the certified copies. :err: Cant seem eek to login on their website either. Gggrrrrr.

Hi there, quick question I hope you don't mind. when you sent your documents to vetassess, did you receive any confirmation that they have received it? I've had the mail tracking say that it had all been delivered but was hoping for a confirmation email from vetassess to say items had been received and they are starting the assessment? Or do they just get on with it? Thanks in advance for any help and replies.

Thank you all. Managed to speak to a solicitor that I know, she seemed to think it may need to be certified by a notary but asked me to double check and that she would sign for me if i thought it would be enough. So I will take it all down tomorrow and hope they get accepted. Can someone just confirm also if you wouldn't mind, that it's only black and white copies that need certifying, not the colour copies?? Even photographs? Thankyou in advance.

Hi everyone, just a quick question if you don't mind answering for me. I had finally got myself into gear and gathered everything we needed for vetassess, booked an appointment with a solicitor and she wouldn't certify them for me as she thinks it should be a notary solicitor that does it? I have done a search on here but I'm sure that a normal solicitor has certified other members documents - is that right?? :err: Thanks for looking.

So sorry with the late reply! Just to say thanks for replying. We have got most of it all up together now just need another reference from client, tax returns and to get it all signed by a solicitor. It's taking ages!! Mostly because we look at it and think there is so much to do and don't know where to start, so we don't start! Getting there slowly. Thanks again. X

Hi there, sorry to jump on an older thread. Just wondering if you sent off to vetassess letters from suppliers, third party declaration, and also a letter from an accountant? We have got names and numbers of references but it says we need all the other things also. Also did you send off inthe mail your documents or did you upload them? Sorry for all the questions! Thanks for the replies. I do need to chill and I know it's not anyone else's priority and its probably the last thing people want to be doing when they have such pressing things to deal with. I know myself how much of a pain it is to do a reference for someone so I am trying not to pester. We have been waiting about 1 month now, I think I may be rocking in a corner somewhere if im still waiting in another 2 months!!! Great idea about writing it ourselves beebodee also a suggested reference starlight I hadn't thought about that. We are giving them until end of August and then we may have to do the above or give them a shake. Feel like we have talked about getting a visa for so long and now I just want to get my hands on it!!! :wink: Thanks again everyone x
