  1. Hi Can someone please explain what ''pro rata arrangements for this occupational group'' means on the skillselect website?? Here is the extract: ''As there are high levels of interest from prospective skilled migrants in the below occupations, pro rata arrangements for this occupational group will apply. These arrangements are subject to change throughout the programme years: ICT Business and Systems Analysts Software and Applications Programmers Accountants.'' Thanks!
  2. Thank you MaggieMay24 So with the quota in place I suppose I can still submit an EoI? Plus do you mind shedding some light on the following? What do they mean by pro-rata arrangements for the occupation? ''As there are high levels of interest from prospective skilled migrants in the below occupations, pro rata arrangements for this occupational group will apply. These arrangements are subject to change throughout the programme years: ICT Business and Systems Analysts Software and Applications Programmers Accountants.'' I worked hard with the IELTS & scored 8 in all bands ... was just waiting for my prof certification... now that I got it I was just disappointed when I saw the July changes on accountants... that's why am fretting...
  3. No, I can't or no I still can?
  4. I saw on skillselect that they put ceiling on accounting profession. Does this mean accountants cannot submit an expression of interest (EoI) anymore?:cry::cry:
  5. Hey all! Hope everyone's well! I'd like to know a couple of things about the work experience requirement for immigration application: 1. I attained my work experience during my studies. Is this acceptable for attaining the points for overseas work experience? Or is it a must that the work experience must be post-qualification? Please provide me with a link to this info if you can 2. Is it a must to submit payslips for the work? I don't have payslips for all 3 years of my work :err: Thanks all! Cheers!

    ACCA

Hi Seeulater Its interesting what you say about the masters degree. You see I was going to study masters in economics in Australia hoping to claim points through the Aus study requirement. Do know if its possible to claim points for ACCA and the 2 years duration of study in Aus? Will they deem Ms in economics close to accountant profession? Will deeply appreciate your response
  7. Thank you Rezasol and Joe for your valuable input
  8. Hello there! I'm hoping someone here could offer me some advice on scoring points within the Aussie study requirement. Currently I have ACCA professional qualification and a BSc in applied accounting and I was hoping to study Masters in economics in Australia. Now what I'm wondering is whether Aus authorities would deem masters in economics a 'closely related subject' to the profession of Accountant (General)? Do you think I can claim points for the study requirement in this case? Thanks a lot Monami
  9. Thanks Azim That is an interesting way of looking at it. You seem a little familiar with the middle eastern ways. Have you worked here before?
  10. Hello everyone Has anyone claimed 5 points for proficiency in a community language? I know NAATI is supposed to test you but I wanted to get an idea from someone who has done this. How difficult are the tests? What's the exact procedure? etc. I am well-versed in 2 community languages listed by Aus immigration officials so am hoping to reap benefits from it  Thanks in advance
  11. I see... thank u for shedding light on that How about the original contract of your employment where it states your salary, role and so on and so forth? Supported with bank statements let's say. I hope that would be acceptable. You see, I worked in the strange land of Saudi Arabia where there are neither pay slips nor tax returns...among its other oddities...need to move fast :arghh:
  12. Hello people! I just wanted to ask, is a recommendation letter from your previous employer enough as proof for migration purposes? Does this letter have to be further attested by notary public or anything like that? Thanks in advance!
  13. Yes my degree is on applied accounting. Thanks for clarifying
  14. Hi Any recommendations for Aus migration agent based in /jeddah, Saudi Arabia or Dhaka, Bangladesh? Can I use Go Matilda if even if I live in these places?

    ACCA

Hi guys SeeULater....would u please tell me whether u were an ACCA affiliate or a member when u applied? Thanks and good luck
  16. Hi Do you think ICAA will make a positive skills assessment for a BSc (Hons) degree from a UK university with a lower second class classification (2:2)? Thanks!
  17. Hi there! I am an ACCA affiliate (UK) with 2 yrs full-time work experience while doing my ACCA. I would love to migrate to Australia...just loved the land and whether since I was a kid! Moreover I want to do ICAA in Aus. So I went through the relevant sites but I would love to draw a few pointers from those of you who are experienced in migrating through this route (ACCA to ICAA): - What visa should I apply for once my skills assessment is done by ICAA? - How long did it take you to get the PR? - How much tougher is ICAA compared to ACCA? - Is it difficult to land in appropriate jobs to meet the experience requirement? - In addition to English, I am fluent in 2 subcontinental languages, Arabic and French. How much value do you think this would add to the workplace in Australia? Would Much appreciate your response Thanks in advance!
