    First steps

Hi We are just starting our adventure to australia and by just starting I mean we have finally made the decision to apply, but not done anything about it! Thats where this post comes in, I need advice on what to do first? We have narrowed the area down to qld or nsw. i am a Community nurse here in the UK, 4 year post qualification. I am married, hubby is 40 next year and I have 3 girls ahead 13,11,9. Hubby works in manufacturing of cars so would need work similar. We have been looking in a dream to Australia for around 10-15 year but finally decided before it’s too late to take the biggest step of our lives. Any help or advise ice would be greatly appreciated x nicola
  2. Hi guys, im hoping to get some advice. I am a qualified nurse and my husband and I have 3 young children. One of my girls has been diagnosed with lung disease and another has asthma which we can not get under control. Both of these we feel would improve in a better climate (uk and wet cold weather does not mix) when we have briefly looked previously it looks like a dead end with regards to healthcare and visas due to the illness, does anyone have any experience with this and can u offer any advice. thank u in advance xx
  3. Hi all Just wanting a bit of advice. We are hoping to move over to oz in 2015 (saving and sorting things over here) we will b looking to rent our property out over here and also rent a property in oz. We have not been landlords before however family experience has proven estate agent handling of the property is a must does anyone have any good advice for us and also the rental income will b substantially higher than the mortgage so does this cause any issues on either side. Thanking u in advance Xxx
  4. Hi I was just wanting a bit of advice. I am currently researching into the possibility of my family and I immigrating after I have finished my nursing degree and was wondering if anyone can give me details of good migration advice organisation and an idea as to how much they cost. Muchly appreciated regards rider3
  5. dont quote me on it but as far as i am aware we cant get residency for 2 yr. this may be wrong like u i have read so much stuff. i am a student nurse looking to do pretty much the same as u - a yrs experience then go. my children will still all be at school tho only difference. it may be worth speaking to immigration just to confirm then at least you know either way. i have asked them a few things even tho it is a while away n they hve been helpful.
  6. Hi We are a family of 5, 3 girls, they are quite versatile and i cant see them having a problem moving and making friends, i was just wondering if anyone can offer some advice on the transition between schools. our school over here have been great and offered to allow the children to contact the school which my girls are going to be going to when we move over, to help them begin making friends. are the schools in australia helpful like this too. and can anyone give me some suggestions on good schools in the adeleide area. my girls will 8/9, 7/8, and 10/11. Thank you very muchly xx
