  1. Hi Matthew & Nicola, I think it'd be worth starting a new thread to open your question up to the entire forum. We applied with just 60 points and was invited to apply within the next round of invitations. I'm not sure about your questions regarding part-time employment or maternity leave however you need to be really careful not to over claim points as it can result in a refusal of your visa. If you're not sure I think it's worth getting some free initial advice from a migration agent, my experience with Go Matilda was very good although we ultimately decided to do it all ourselves. Good luck x
  2. Have you front loaded your PCCs and medicals? If so there may be no reason for a Case Officer to contact you other than to grant your visa. I lodged my 189 on 9th June so not a long time after yourself and I haven't heard a thing. But as I have front loaded everything this is perfectly normal. In fact, I think there are very few people on the 'Lodged in June' thread who have heard from a Case Officer.
  3. I was just about to say exactly the same thing, another from June granted today woohoo!! Feels like I'm constantly either checking this forum, the spreadsheet, my emails or my immiaccount lol I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!! I wonder who'll be next?
  4. Could you not try the number on the immi website for people in the UK? It's the Australian High Commission in London, they have access to the online records. The telephone line is open for english speaking people from 1pm - 4pm Monday - Friday. Tel: 020 7420 3690 http://www.immi.gov.au/Help/Locations/Pages/Service-centres/europe-service-centre.aspx I wonder whether they may be able to confirm whether your visa application has been submitted or not?? It's not entirely clear from your post what part of the process you're actually at so this may not be any help. Good luck!
  5. Ooooo look! Someone who lodged their 189 on 6th June off-shore had their visa granted today - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AkrdCphtU8u-dGJQSWROUlZ0bThIaUF2VW9zdUZmMlE&usp=sharing#gid=0 I've been looking every day. It's getting close..... :jiggy:
  6. So you've completed your visa application and paid the fee? The next stage is to upload your evidence through the Immiaccount for each applicant. Then you decide whether to front load your medicals and police checks, i.e. whether to proceed to obtain and upload meds and PCCs prior to a Case Officer requesting them. Sorry if I've missed the point of your question! Good luck
  7. Sorry I can't help with your question Shanky. I've seen the visa estimates shown on the immi website stating 10th March (as of 31st July) but going by the spreadsheet and other posts I'm hoping that is on the very conservative side as a lot of people seem to have received grants who lodged their applications some time after 10th March. I can only hope! The website also still states that the 189 is taking 3 months to process so I'm hanging on to this and hope I'll hear in the next few weeks. It might be worth posting a fresh thread regarding the 1220 and the 'non-immigrating dependant', it'll open your question up to more people. Good luck!
  8. Wow, congratulations!! I bet you're over the moon xx
  9. I think it may be because Ceddy had special circumstances due to the situation with their daughter. I think it was requested that it was considered earlier.
  10. Hi JJ17 There are 2 parts to the Skill Assessment, the Training and Employment Check which is paper based documentary evidence, and either the practical assessment or a technical interview. There are Fact Sheets available on the Vetassess and Victoria Uni websites along with other information specific to joiners which you should read through. My advice is that they are not trying to catch you out, if you are a practising qualified joiner you should have no problems providing you are methodical with your evidence. The first stage is to familiarise yourself with the documentary evidence they require and gather all this together (such as CV, work references worded in a way that's acceptable for this purposes, accounts records, wage slips, NVQ certificates etc). If you have any specific questions feel free to send me a PM and I'll try and help. Good luck Shelly
  11. Hey, This is an interesting find, someone posted the link in the 190 visas lodged in July thread. It's a visa tracker where everyone can add their details and we can all see what's being granted when. It'd be great if everyone could add their details - there are separate tabs for 189s and other visas, make sure you're in the right spreadsheet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...=sharing#gid=0

  14. I received a quote for a large Movecube from Nottingham to Perth last week! It's £890 + $858 'destination charges' (the majority of which is transporting it from Melbourne to Perth). Hope that helps x
  15. The medical centre we used took 2 weeks to upload our results, it might be worth giving them a call to check. Otherwise you can log in to the emedical account using your HAP ID and name to see if it's been uploaded yet. The changes in the order of documents you have uploaded (is that what you mean?) doesn't mean anything as far as I can tell. This has happened to me on the same day as uploading it so it can't have anything to do with a Case Officer.
  16. !!!! Now that IS exciting! What kind of things were they adjusting?? After a while of there seeming to be little difference between the 189 and 190 processing times it would seem 190s are finally back to getting the priority processing they're entitled to. If only we could have met the 190 requirements....... :daydreaming:
  17. Hi Yes our time lines are similar! No news on CO allocation unfortunately. It would seem that processing has slowed a little for 189s recently. The immi website suggests allocation of COs had only reached applications submitted on the 10th March (or something like that) but from other threads it appears that it isn't quite that bad!
  18. Hi Sarah, I applied without an agent. I'm feeling excited (and a little nervous!!). Have you lodged your visa application yet Shelly x
  19. We gt a couple of pay slip from the beginning, middle and end of each period of employment. If you've been with the same place for a large number of years I would get a couple of wage slips from each year. I haven't got any of my evidence certified by a JP, instead you can upload a colour scan of the original documents. Hope that helps x
  20. When I got my invite it was on the day, i.e. I received an email on the 9th June (the 2nd Monday). In fact, due to the time difference I received it in the UK on the 8th June although it was the 9th June from where it was issued from. This was the case even though it was a national holiday and the immi office was closed so I assume it's an automated system.
  21. It is all quite daunting to begin with isn't it! But once you've got your head around everything required it's a good start. I found it helped having a big checklist and ticking things off as I went along then I kept everything together in a folder. I was so worried that I missed something but it all turned out ok in the end. Good luck, and if there's anything else you need help with there's always someone around to chip in x
  22. That's interesting, thanks for sharing! Can I ask where this information was sourced from?
