  1. Blossom You do not need RCB for Transitional stream in 187 from 457. But for Direct entry you need RCB approval. Yes, if you loose RCB, application will be declined because you did not meet the basic requirement, need for paid employee in RSMS area specified.
  2. If DRC then four months and NON DRC about nine months+ and depends upon your occupation too. Higher the qualification, first in line. MEL is slowest office at this time.
  3. Congratulations, Very positive experience to be shared with others. our members can learn lot from you. Please, wait for questions.
  4. New Skilled Occupation List from 1 July 2013 "DIAC has announced the annual update of the Skilled Occupation List (SOL), which will be effective from 1 July 2013. This is an update of the current Skilled Occupation List is specified in Schedule 1 of Legislative Instrument IMMI 13/020 [F22013L00546]. It is not an update of Schedule 2 (Consolidated Sponsored Occupation List) of that legislative instrument. The following occupations have been removed from the SOL: • Hospital Pharmacist ANZSCO 251511 • Retail Pharmacist ANZSCO 251513 • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) ANZSCO 323111 • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) ANZSCO 323112 • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Structures) ANZSCO 323113
  5. Craig Welcome to blog Just rough timeline, if DRC application say 4 months and if NON DRC plan for 9+ months
  6. Sonic All yearly numbers are RSMS grants in that year. This issue was discussed long time ago on this site. If I recall correctly on July 1, 2012 there were about 6000 applications in pipeline from year additional roughly 18000 came in 2011-2012+DRC applications which received after July 2012 (+regular applications which will roll in every month), So rough guess comes to, 30.0000+ in pipeline in RSMS. 9000 RSMS applications were received in last week of June-2012, It depends where you stand in line. 29 June got 4000 applications alone so you can guess. Normal rate of processing is about 1400 applications a month. Allocations for year ending June 30 is 16,000 so rest more than 30,000-16000=15000+ (minus 15 % rejections) will also face same delay as now. So no relief is expected next year without allocation increase. Only good news is come July new allocation, lot of visa will be issued. Next guess is if you apply June 2013 NON DRC ( particularly MEL) the decision may be delayed till July 2014 without any changes.Next year, Diac will only be able to clear the backlog from this year. Hope it clear some doubt. Not a great news but darn reality.
  7. For 457 you need ILETS score 5 in each. So far nothing changed, JUly 1 will be effective for any change. Your employer have to registered for valid sponsor for 457 which takes few weeks. Your occupation should be on list http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/sol/
  8. Plan everything so new rules don't effect you. Regarding the file info DIAC, have all the info and details.
  9. Long wait is frustrating, But after July 1 there will be flood of PRs due to new quota. COs are sitting on files to be released. In your case hope to hear sooner.
  10. You will get visa via email when you go out of country and need not any stamp now.
  11. Your other option is apply for new 187 visa with new employer if still eligible like English etc. But you have to go through the whole process again. Like Blossom mentioned you can try 457 for buying some time for this.
  12. Last week i heard a nomination approval for June case. But PR still not decided. Any movement in MEL office for last week of June 2012 NON-DRC applicants?
  13. Yazzi 187 visa application will be processed under new rules.
  14. Alvin It should be OK, as long your employer permit it and new job is same profession and regional area. Thanks
  15. LOvepreet You should be close to decision now. Hang On.
  16. Request your employer if he can keep open until decision and try to find another job in same region.
  17. Terrible news at the end of file. Don't give up try other options.
  18. Alvin Congratulation and wish you happy landing with new status. Good to know my guess in visa timing, worked.
  19. Yes, but this is for next year. Last year increase was Overall Employee sponsored not RSMS.
  20. Sonic It seems pretty frustrating after so long. All these guidelines and services standards were before June rush. Flood of applications caught DIAC by surprise.
  21. Seems you wait should be over soon.
  22. Avvy It should not be a big issue in your case. I agree with SCMJK they are just working on nomination part . Best from your side to ask your employer to prove the job description and requirement. If you already worked under 457 and you already have qualification it should be OK. wish you good luck.
