This looks like a common reason for all VIC rejections. I think they are very selective.

So what do you think what other applicants are having better than your qualification? I am also planing to apply for Vic SS. But with MCITP and CCNA certification (no Degree)

Thanks, I finally wrote to ACS. they replied saying that ACS do not re-validate any assessment anymore, instead we have to submit a new application. New applications are processed according to the new criteria effective from 15th Jan. I have not applied for visa yet. (stuck with IELTS 7) My problem is, it is not guaranteed that i would get a positive assessment according to the new criteria. They will most probably advise to go through RPL path (Recognition of Prior Learning) [h=1][/h]

Hello, My ACS skill assessment expires on June 2014. According to the latest ACS changes. It seems it is not possible to do a revalidation with old criteria. Can someone clarify this? THanks, Sam

I have tried 5 times to get 7 band each :arghh:. and still trying. No wonder why people consider boat rides :twitcy:

i think SS first. Once you get the nomination then need to submit EOI and inform Victoria with ref number

I got my results today exactly after 4 weeks. It is UNCHANGED. The Center have sent a photocopy of enquiry of results letter sent by IDP Australia. Now i doubt whether my local center actually sent my EOR to IDP..

I am still waiting for my remark results. If you are confident about writing go for rmark. If not i suggest you to do it in SL, it makes a different. I did at ACBT

Hi, Is there anybody who recently applied for Victorian SS? I read some where that States are having their own quota for each occupation. How can we check the quota? My occupation code is 263111 which is currently under green category in Victorian occupation list. I am awaiting for IELTS results to apply SS. Just wondering how much of quota would be available at the time we apply. Thanks. Sam.

Hi, I have done IELTS for Four times and i got following results. 1st attempt, L 7.5 , R 6 , W 6.5 , S 5.5 2nd attempt, L 7 , R 7, W 6.5 , S 6 3rd attempt, L 8 , R 6.5 , W 7 , S 6 4th attempt, L 8.5 , R 7 , W 6 , S 7 My target is to get 7 for each components but always fell short. I really disappointed to see my last IELTS results where i got only 6 for writing. I never had any difficulty with my writing and was very confident about last writing test. It is huge surprise for me that i got only 6. Can someone advise me on remarking my last test results? Is there any success stories with 6 band upgraded to 7 after remarking? Thanks Sam.

Few more Qs Infact, with 7 band in IELTS i could also apply for 190 visa with 60 points. What would be the better option? Do we need to get a Job offer to apply for 190? If so what the procedure for that? Thanks

Hi, I have few more Qs if some one can help, 1. After we submit EOI for FS 489, what kind of criteria Skillselect is using to send an invitation? Do we still need to get a job offer from an employer? 2. Once visa is granted, it is said that we need to work two years in designated area to apply for PR. How do they check this? Do we have to work full time for one employer continually two years? 3. And what is the visa subclass to apply after two years? do we have to do IELTS again? Thanks in advance, Sam.

Hi, I am in the process of migrating to Melbourne through 489 visa. I have a relative who is willing to sponsor me. Currently i have only 55 points so i am trying to get 7 band in IELTS so i can apply with 65 points. I am frequently visiting this forum but didn't find much applicants for 489 family sponsorship. I just want to know how visa processing time or chances of getting an invitation for Family sponsored 489 compared to State sponsored 489. Currently cutoff points mark is 60 for 489 visa. Does that mean if we enter an EOI now with 65 points in hand it woud be selected whether it a Family sponsored or state sponsored?. Regards Sam.
