NIC is must and it should be translated in English , if u r in Lahore u can go to Cantt Court ,Model Town court , High Court place and around it there are computer shops u can get it translated and attest by notary public its not a big deal and you must need to submit it alone with other documents its necessary

The number you have is perfect bro nothing is wrong with number , try to dial the number early in the morning i always try at 9.00am and the call must get transfer to the CO ... when u dial the number wait for the operator and then ask her to transfer it to ur CO e-g Miss T she will transfer ur call if some one else pick up the phone simply ask him/her that u want to talk to u ur own CO then they do transfer it ....

I called AHC Yesterday and spoke with my CO Miss.T.. She is much better then other COs ... she told me everything in detail , she said that for the applicants whose security checks are still in process after 12 months timeline is passed they are worried about it too, their supervisor has contacted agencies to complete the security checks as soon as possible so that they can finalize cases so for few applicants they asked for extra information and they provided it so i hope there will be outcome of this effort... my security checks were started in June 2012 next month it is gonna be whole 12 months so hope to hear some good news next month...mine security checks and medical clearance is still in process

I meant, does my wife need to give in her pakistan ID card (shanakhti card) with application? Because she did not give it in since we were under the impression that since there's a copy of her Passport, the card won't be needed. So basically I'm asking is it mandatory to give in shanakhti card? If so, it must be translated in English and then given?

Yeah NIC and birth certificate are mandatory , and NIC should be translated and attested by notary public

Wondering for female applicants, is NICOP/POC required? If so, is an english transalation required too? I have no idea where to get it translated if its required.

Well you dont need NICOP to give to AHC , if your husband is Pakistani and residing in Australia then he can give it if he has otherwise he can still use simple Pakistani ID card , and you can get the translation from anywhere like printing shops or net cafes they mostly have the format for it or if any high court is near to you there hundreds of people do computer printing work they always have this format so they can do it for u and u can get it notarized there as well

Finalllyyy Visa Granted :biggrin: Alhumdullliah. After 15 months. The mail came around 5-6pm PST. Security clearance was done in 9-10 months from the day of submission of Form80. Only thing that was delaying was my medicals. They kept on asking for further medicals for no reason. But Thanks Allah all clear :cute:. My PCC was expired like 1.5 months ago. so few days before went to submit the docs to get it made, just in case immigration office ask us. But they didn't ask :eek:. Have to make first initial entry within 2 months.

 

I pray that all of you get visas very quickly especially the male applicants who have been waiting so long. Just hang in there, it will be very sudden and even you will be surprised :jiggy:

Yup bro they can not cap it that is why when their one year quota finish they start delaying the cases and then grant it in the next financial year that is what i meant .... and the good news in that report is that they are adding 700 more family stream visas includes subclass 309

They are dragging most of the Male applicants cases just because they can not cap it so they will grant the visas from the quota of next financial year.

The Federal Budget for 2013-14 was released last night and there are a few important announcements in the Immigration portfolio.

The main announcements are:

1. The application fee for a 457 visa will increase by 98% from $455 to $900
2. Fair Work inspectors will be able to monitor 457 employer for compliance with market rate salary and position requirements
   
3. The Migration Program will remain at 190,000 places for 2013-14, with 700 additional places to the family stream, and 700 less places in the skilled stream
   
4. The Humanitarian Program will increase from 13,750 places to 20,000 with additional costs of $2.3 billion over the next 4 years
   
5. The working holiday program will be increased for Malaysian and Indonesian nationals
   

Migration Program Planning Level

6. The migration program will be set at 190,000 places for 2013-14, similar to the level for 2012-13.

There will be an increase of 700 places for the family stream, and these will be taken from the skilled stream.

As yet, we do not have details of the breakdown of the planning levels by visa type but will release further information as it becomes available.

i was confirmed 7 months ago that my medical was clear. SC r still in process. for last 12 months my SC r in process. so pray for security checks. i think medical z not a big issue even though they r bz now a days.

Rackspace have u got any confirmation that Medicals are clear or not or u tried to call them or not ???? your wife submitted medicals on same date 25th March , try to call them and get an update bro....

just sent an email to Ms K. got an automated reply that she is out of office from May 13 to 5th Aug :chatterbox:. I guess we will be waiting for the visa grant for a while now. Just sit back and pray.... :cry:

I aslo called them today and Miss K.A is on leaves for 3 Months and Miss Tatheer will take care of her cases and she was also not available today , security checks and Medical clearance is still in process

Can you please tell me how much time it took for visa grant to come after submitting medicals/PCC?

Before for Female applicants they were finalizing the case within 4 weeks after submitting Medicals but now they are taking long even few applicants got the visa one week after submitting the medicals but now as i read on other threads as well medical clearance is taking long because of backlog at IOM Sydney so it takes one and half months and i think ur wife also submitted Medicals on March 25th its beyond time limit so lets see

Thanx bro for missing me my wife is doing the same :wink: but i had nothing to add so was just doing window shopping of thread and thread was quiet as well ,i have never been out of Pakistan so there is no excuse of external checks and we never know about what they do on our case , i read indian threads there is one criteria they have , the applicants know whats gonna happen next like their COs let the applicants know when the case is forwarded to SCO with date and then everyone know that now in 90 days they are gonna get the visa which is great but in AHC Islamabad they never tell us when the case will be forwarded to SCO,when the security checks will finish,what is happening on our case now,when we will get Medicals we know nothing at all which make this wait more stressful and this approach is ridiculous !!!

Bro did they tell you that your security checks started in May 2012 ? because it is not the date you submit form 80, they send to ASIO after few months. First they complete internal security that takes few months, so might be your external checks started in Oct, Anyways your CO will be knowing the date she forwarded to ASIO. After knowing that date, one can roughly expect the time security clearance will take

Well i submitted Form 80 with initial documents in April 2012 and in May i got a call from CO and she said that they need some information regarding Form 80 which i gave so it means that they started doing those checks in May and in October they asked for address in details for the jobs i worked in past and i have never been out of Pakistan before so there is nothing for them to do external checks and if even they started internal checks in October its already 7-8 months so it should be done by now and i dont think we can roughly get any idea if even they tell us a date because as per my knowledge there is no time frame for it ,i am living at one address since my birth , i only changed 4 jobs since i started working it shouldnt take them long to do checks on this and there are few guys who got visas less then 12 months so we never know with what excuse they come up...... it all depend on luck i guess , i just wish i get rid of this situation and all of u guys because this whole process is big HEADACHE !!!!

You should call you CO and get update, as most male applicants are getting there visas.

The other thing that could cause the delay is me and wife are pashtuns from Khyber pukhtunkhwa She is from Peshawar

Welcome to this thread ,For female applicants they dont do security checks and sometimes they dont even ask for Form 80 which is for security checks so dont worry they are not gonna take much time they are only VERY CONCERNED about male applicants and yes male applicants of those areas suffer more and bro i have migration agent and i submitted all the documents at once but they always come up with stupid excuses so we never know with them and there is no certain criteria or flow from where we can guess that how they treat the applicants,every applicant will have the different story u will see wish u good luck

the average i have calculated from the sheet puts the average duration for grants at just over a month.

Well LUCKY females get the grant within one month ,few male applicants here are still waiting from 3 to 4 months after done with Medicals , dont worry bro your wife will be with u soon InsAllah, just pray for us(waseem+arshad+me) that we also meet our wives soon i have a feeling that in this month all of us will get visas InshAllah fingers cross , May Allah give them courage to grant us visa soon Ameeeen

medical done around 25th of last month, when should i accept visa grant?

My Medical was also done on 25th March still waiting for the decision , there is no time frame for it , just hope for best and with any luck the decision can come anytime soon
