  1. There is Malaga and Wangara and a little in Osborne Park( mostly retail) which make up about 20% of Perth's total and they are nothing compared to what is South in terms of Job opportunities for skilled people.
  2. Sorry don't read the sun, its a labour supporting piece of shite that reports on Z list celebs which i care nothing of, i prefer to know whats happening in the real world rather than what colour of knickers Jordon or Jade goody are wearing.
  3. Correct me if i am wrong but 1 person said they bought a house recently in Yangebup I cant remember any other posts about recent purchases. Parts of Yangebup are ok, parts are so so. I don't live too far from there and looked at property there as large plots for cheap but the school is way below avg and 10% of the kids are indigenous so that tells me probably quite a lot of homes west houses. before anyone starts to take offence I have friends who live there and they have a lovely house and their street is fine and the neighbours property just sold for $500k. Yes there are some jobs in Joondaloup if you work in a hospital or shop but not a lot else. Yanchep is fine if you are FIFO but most employment is City or South you cant deny that. And yanchep to Joondaloup is still about a 40-50 min drive in peak traffic. Marmion is heaving onto the freeway in the morning. I did live in Mindarie once upon a time
  4. I think you just proved my point didn't you? Yanchep would be a 1 and half hour drive to the city at least during peak traffic or 30 mins to Clarkson then 40 min train. And there is bugger all there....
  5. I came here for something differant and was well aware that here i would be worse off as i am not finacially motivated. Like i say i am potsing the real truth to people backed up by facts and figures .
  6. . I dont know where you live but you just admitted a 20% increase that still makes a mockery of your statement and the graph shows 100% increase which is probably down to the affordable places increasing most. What if you changed tyour Uk figures to between 2008 and 2014?
  7. Thank you for your honest answer. HH would not answer that despite despite telling people this is paradise and that we can all come from the UK and live in a great area where we have good schooling for our kids on the avg wage. I am merely stating to people the facts and 9 years ago you could as property has increased massively in his period so stop talking nonsense please. In the last 10 years Perth property has hugely increased in price> I will post a graph to show people the the facts http://reiwa.com.au/research/pages/perth-house-price-chart.aspx. Some people really have to stop accusing people of being Perth haters and accept that it is acceptable to say negatives about a place and if you want to disagree post facts not fiction.................. Yet again in this thread I have asked the mob to back up facts and been presented with lies and people refusing to answer arguments they cant win.
  8. Somewhere that the school is above avg and i don't have to spend over an hour to get to the city. If you disagree with my earlier question such as others feel free to prove me wrong...................
  9. I have not moved the goalposts and you have yet to give an answer to the original question? if you want to argue with me back it up please. .
  10. Long enough to know how much property costs in decent area both NOR and SOR as i have lived in both
  11. Well lets put it this way..... Most of us on here are families so we want decent schools for our kids don't we? If i was single a flat in Joondaloup for 350K might be fine. Like i say I am your average family and want my kids to go to a school that is not below avg and live in a decent area, where can i go for under $500k? You were the one who put me down for suggesting this so back up what you say please instead of trying to rubbish me as a Perth hater?
  12. You have obviously been looking as you linked the Reiwa site....................
  13. And you have yet to prove this is correct by showing us where you can buy these properties with good schools?
  14. So you agree with what i am saying then?
  15. our argument And still you try to put down what i say but refuse to back up your argument? maybe we should just take your word for it?
  16. A lot of young couples on WHV do end up in Britdaloup. Most do go to Northbridge though.
  17. LOL I rest my case, so you argue a point with me then don't back it up because you cant? Like i said i am not being nasty and argumentative but I do post the truth and realism.
  18. OK I am sure Pablo is ecstatic that you gave him a link he probably already knew about but what about proving to posters that you can live near the city and have decent schooling for $450K and under?
  19. Ok but still no far off what i said in reality is it? And most of those apartments in Britdaloup will be leased to young peeps on WHV is that what you want at your age?
  20. The lovers are doing great here! Sorry for being a realist!
  21. Thx for sharing REIWA page but i asked you to show me suitable property not search for it myself when i know i wont find it thx
  22. great homes for a family with kids? 1 or 2 bed flats in joondaloup? Missing the point! Next?
  23. For an apartment (flat here) in cockburn central or joondaloup you would pay around $400k+ for a 2 bed
  24. No it is not me i am not a builder. I am not trying to be nasty but i am making a very valid point as i have a young family, earn well above avg and dont want to overpay for a house only to be trapped there as i will lose my equity when the correction comes , when i can rent for considerably less pm despite the hassles of renting.
  25. Can you show examples of these places where you can buy decent property near the city? I live 20KM south in a good suburb and avg house price is 550k and south is cheaper according to those who live north?
