Hi everyone, I am a nurse and have just relieved my positive skills assessment. Last night I submitted my EOI, does anyone know when the next sitting is and when they announce the results? Will I recurve an email giving me info on this or do I need to log into my account to find out? Any help is greatly appreciated

Thank you so much for your post! That is very helpful What documents will I need to scan in for my visa? Will it just be birth certificate, passport, school certificates and bits? I take it the process will tell me what they want as I go along?

Hi everyone, I am a nurse and I would like to apply for my PR 189 visa. I am almost through the skills assessment, I should find out this week!! All being good, I know I need to complete my EOI. What do I need for this? I have my IELTS exam already. Also, what documents and police checks do I need to start getting completed? I would like to get everything together, sooner rather than late. I have just come back from a year in Australia and I am desperate to go back!! ? If another post already covers this, I have tried searching, then please redirect me to this page please. Any help is greatly appreciated! katie

Hi ladies, I am coming out to Oz the end of August, flying to melbourne and then doing a trip up to Darwin. Planning to work my way down the East coast from there. Also a wee bit nervous but very excited! I hope you all have a great time!

Hello everyone, I an going through AHPRA for the second time! My first application, sent in September 13 was withdrawn because they didn't receive my transcript...except I know my uni sent them! They took the money and then I had to re-submit again. So, at the beginning of Feb I sent it all again and I am still waiting! The needed more info from the university despite the fact I did a degree and I have a post gad specialist course! I have phoned AHPRA twice and sent two emails to my case advisor but no one can confirm if the documents sent have been received! It's so frustrating! I'm desperate to get this sorted and not have the second application withdrawn! Is anyone getting their applications approved at the moment? There must be some good news out there somewhere?

Thank you for the info. How was it as an older traveller? I am a bit worried that a lot of the people I will met will be a lot younger and into boozing a lot. I like the odd drink but am more interested in having a good time, sight seeing and meeting new people through work etc! Any tips?

Hi everyone, I am seriously considering going to o on a WHV for a year starting in August this year. I turn 30 in August! I understand from the info on immi that you have to be 18-30 at the time of applying. Does the visa continue for the full yer you are entitled to even if you turn 30 during your stay in Oz? Oh would it work if I wanted to then extend to the second year? Any hep would be great Katie

Hi, Just thought I would see if you have heard anything from your application yet? I am almost there, just need to talk my boss about the letter or she needs to write and then sort out meeting with a public notary...I need to find one first! Sorry for the delayed reply. I do a lot of flying as part of my job but I am a Critical Care Nurse. What about yourself? Have you decided on where you would like to move to in Oz? I really hope all of your bits go through ok. I still have some bits to get together but I have some leave coming up and so it will be one last push hopefully to get everything sorted and sent! I bet it was a real relief to get it all sent away I have just one more question...sorry! How far back did your CPD stuff go back? Did you send one year worth or did you go back further? Katie

Hello everyone! I am trying to fill out the APHRA application form as we speak and unsurprisingly, I have a few questions of anyone can help please?! Question 11 - regarding qualifications...do I need to fill out all A-levels and GCSE's etc as well as my nursing degree? Question 12 - what will my category of registration be? I am on the NMC register but I do not know what to fill in here. Question 26 - Do I fill in here my degree and my a-levels/GCSE's too? The wording seems really confusing and I don not want to do it wrong! It states in the grey box that I need the transcripts for these...I know that I definitely need the transcript of my nursing course but do I really need the same for GSCE's and A-levels? Question 28...I just don't understand! Does this relate to me getting a letter from my secondary school to say I have been taught in english or is the CPD section where I send them all the bits I have done through the past year to keep current? Payment...do I pay both the assessment fee and the application fee or just the assessment fee initially? I apologise for all of the questions...it all seems very confusing! Hello, I have recently joined this forum to try and start our journey in moving to Australia. I am a nurse in the uk and my partner works for the royal air force, we are desperate to start a new life in Australia. We will be going to Australia on my visa as a nurse but having started to look at the paperwork required to convert across to the Australian nursing services it all seems quite confusing...and I haven't even started with the visa process yet!! From reading the posts on here I realise that I am not alone. Is it worth using a migration company to help, specifically a nursing migration company or are they a rip off for what they do? Speed is not at the forefront of our move because we both have to wait two years before work will let us go but for assistance in completing the paperwork, would it be worth it? If so, which company? If not, where is the best place to start in collecting more information? I apologise for all the questions....I just don't have a clue where to start! Any information would be greatly appreciated!
