Hey Dave Congratulations on the visa! Must be such a relief as you say. I moved to Melbourne a year last week and when the stats say that it's in the top 5 best places to live - they're absolutely right! When you visit, def look at suburbs like Fitzroy, Richmond, Pharan, Windsor as these are the type of places where you'll probably like to live and all 5/10 mins away from the city. I always thought that I would want to live right in the city but even know it's lovely, the surrounding areas have much more personality and better places to shop, eat, drink and go out! I'm sure you have lots of questions, so feel free to ask. It's a scary move but well worth it. Am under Connie vitello on FB, if you're on that. Hey all I am making the big move to the land of Oz in early October (from Manchester) and am looking to make new friends and meet new people. I'm 30 years old (which I've just got over) and really into my music (indie and alternative), so love going to gigs and festivals. Am also into the usual girly shopping, cinema and spa days but also like a good drink - so love bars and clubs. Will be living in Fitzroy when I first arrive, so would be great to meet up there or in the cbd.
