Hello, I’ve been in Tasmania in the north east for 10 years now and was wondering if any fellow country men or women would ever do a meet and greet? I’m 29 male and would love to catch up with some people from the homeland

Pompoms posted a topic in Socialising Hobbies Clubs Sport
Hi, We are a couple in our mid 30’s looking to meet some new friends in Brisbane as we recently relocated here. We enjoy a nice glass of wine & love a good BBQ or heading out for drinks & food. Would be lovely to meet any other couples who enjoy the same things and would like to head out for a couple of drinks. (Please PM me)-

Hi gang, anyone in the Mornington area interested in getting together for a couple of drinks at the Mornington Brewery, or coffee in one of the cafe's one weekend? I'm from Oxford but have been in the Melbourne area a few years, (new to Mornington), and my other half has only been here a few months, moved from Essex. We have 2 kids, 10 & 14, and only know the people I work with in this area. I realised as I stared fondly reminiscing at the Pot Noodles, Rowntree's and Bisto in Richie's 'specialist aisle' the other day that it would be great if we could hook up with a few Poms here, and a colleague recommended this forum as a starting point

Hi! Is there anyone in the central coast that want to go out for a couple of beers or meet up of some sort? My husband and I are both 27, we have a 1year old son. Iam a stay at home mum and Jon works out in penrith so have found it pretty hard to make local friends since moving to the coast last year. happy to go out for a few drinks as we have my mum to babysit in the evening...otherwise park dates, picnic, beach or barbie in the day or anything else going on. we love wake boarding, camping, exploring... doing new things etc.... loving life on the coast. hoping to make new friends for life!

Hi there, Firstly I would like to introduce myself. My name is Bianca and I am 29 years old. I have been in Australia for nearly 2 years now and have never had a problem making friends till my partner wanted to move back to Brisbane to be near his family (he is Australian). We have been here 9 months and I am starting to feel a bit lonely. As much as I love spending my time with him there is just some conversations and girlie things I like to do (like have a natter) he is not interested in. And I cant blame him! There is only so much sports bike and car talk I can handle too! lol I am looking to see if there is some more of you girls out there that would love to meet up, have a glass of wine, a chat and maybe make some friends. B x

Do any blokes fancy a meet up this Saturday 8th March for a few drinks. I was thinking of trying some local craft ales brewed on site and served up at The Green Beacon, Teneriffe. (26 Helen St.) Check out the website at: greenbeacon(dot)com(dot)au Not been there myself yet, but the pics on their website show a large room with plenty of brewing vessels. If anyone has been, let me know what you think. I'll be there from 2pm on Saturday if anyone wants to join? Just reply or PM me so we're not the only people at the bar studiously ignoring each other ;-) Cheers!

Just arrived in Sydney, looking to meet new F-R-I-E-N-D-S
Suzzledexpression posted a topic in Socialising Hobbies Clubs Sport
Hi there :cute: We have just arrived in Sydney three days ago and it's been a roller coaster all the way. It would be great to meet others who have just arrived too (or have been through the experience and lived to tell the tale). My name is Suzanne and my partner is Gareth, we are in temporary accommodation in North Sydney at the moment but are hoping to find something more permanent in the Waverton area very soon. It would be nice to meet for a meal and drinks and exchange experiences, it would be even better to meet some lovely friends along the way! F-R-I-E-N-D-S do we really need them: Yes! One day years from now we could be reminiscing about when we considered getting straight back on the plane again! Do they have cinemas here? I've not seen one yet, the challenge is to get out, meet new people and find new things (and some old familiar ones) to get up to. Let me know if you are interested.. Suzanne and Gareth -

So, as the title says... My girlfriend and I arrived in Melbourne just yesterday we currently have 4 year VISA's (and now we 'think' we've mastered the Trams) it's time to get ourselves a social life!! We're 26/27, from England, like eating, drinking, coffee, sushi, having a laugh etc etc and in a nutshell just looking make friends (as corny as it sounds!!). So lets go for a drink...? -
Hi my partner and I have just moved to central Wollongong from Manchester about 3 weeks ago, we’re both 27, loving the area but really fancy meeting people! Let me know if anyone fancies meeting up for a coffee or a drink or two.

Hey, Some of you might know me from previous nights out that I've planned, well I might arrange another one this weekend if anyone fancies it. It's the AFL grand final day; I'm not really interested in it but it's a lively day out on the Melbourne calendar so it should be fun. I spent the day around Fitzroy and Collingwood last year but I'll wait to see what sort of response I get before deciding on a place for this Saturday. Cheers, John

I'm in my late 20's and looking for some fun girly friends. Myself and my husband have been in Melbourne for quite a while now, we don't have any children and we have made friends, but its not the same as having the girly friends I miss and left behind in the UK. I love going out for a few girly wines, having a giggle and letting my hair down so it would be really nice to meet up with anyone who likes to do the same thing in either the City or the St Kilda area!

Hi! We moved to Sydney in February. After a nice trip back to London in the last few weeks for a wedding we've realised we really miss our friends in the UK! Although we know we'll prob never replace them a few more drinking/coffee/social buddies in Sydney would be very welcome! We are both 26 and working full time, so evenings/weekends would be best for us! Anybody keen then I'll sort some sort of meet up (in a non lonely hearts kind of way......!) - we are in the Eastern suburbs - but maybe in the city might be easiest for people - or circular quay - as let's be honest the harbour bridge/opera house combo will never grow old! OK people .... a date for the diary ..... Friday 14th Oct, meet up in the city. Skyline bar at Crown, it isn't the most fantastic but it's quiet so good for gassing, and plenty of other bars in the place to move onto. Will be the day after my b'day so a good excuse to have a few cheeky sherbets 7.30 pm onwards, look forward to seeing you there Jade

Hi All Just replied to an old thread re: Sydney drinks meet up but thought I'd kick off a new one as well... My boyfriend moved to Sydney in July from Ireland - I'm from Sydney - and we'd love to meet up with some other "new" arrivals for a few drinks and to make some new friends! If anyone is keen please let me know, thinking somewhere in the city would be most handy. Cheers! Elise & Sean
