Hi everybody
I'm from France, and I recently spend 1 one year in Australie with a Working Holidays visa.
I left Australia one day before my visa end. Two days after that, I asked for a ETA visa through a agency.
My visa has refused by the Australien gouvnment.
I don't know why... I think, as I had read on internet, they think I come back for work, this is not true, I'm would like be back for travelling as I spend one year as au pair (I have travelled in one year during my days off but not at all I would like do).
can I ask for a evisitor now ? Do I have change to be granted?
I saw on internet that sometimes a visa is refused but after granted...
What do I have to do?
I really want come back to Australia for only three months becore after that I'm back to school..
Thanks for your help.
Sorry for my English..!!
I think others will be better with information but it sounds like you got rejected as they do not believe you will be a genuine tourist. I think before re-applying for another visa you need to address and prove how you will be a genuine tourist. Maybe send proof in with your enrolment at school. I am sure others will be able to help better.

The decision is yours and your family. My opinion is you already delayed for her to do GCSE's which is fair enough but if all of you want to go I would go before A-Levels that way she can get the qualifications she needs in Australia to either go into employment or go to university.

I remember reading the original post all that time ago. I am so glad for you that everything worked out positively in the end

Yes you are fine, you have a year to enter from the day the visa is granted so you can enter any time within that year.

I'm such a Muppet.. I could hear this noise. It doyndex like sort of bird or maybe like a rodent making a squeaking chattering type noise. So I was asking people what it could be. Most said crickets... Apparently Its just the gate
I've been asked to go see about 2 jobs this weekend/next week. That's from the ones I applied for tonight

Hi,
I apologise if this is in the wrong section was not sure which section to put it in.
We want to send our family some gifts or gift cards in Australia, they recently brought our little one a gift but did so via John Lewis. I was after some suggestions on either department type stores in Australia that I can get gifts delivered too. Or, gift cards that can be sent, I have done Target and Westfield ones before but wondered if there was any others? They love Coffee club but I can not seem to find online where I can order gift cards.
All suggestions welcomed, we used to buy gifts and post them over but the postage costs often equal the sample as the gifts.

Rottnest Island had the wow factor for me, I could go there time and time again. I also thought the Pinnacles were fascinating to see but got bored after an hour or so lol.

Have fun I love Perth my self laid back city which isn't as busy as Sydney but very pretty :-) I also find the heat easier there as its not a sticky heat like Sydney but a dry heat. Have fun over there if you want to know of tourist things to see I can help a little there. Love the quokka's on rottnest island!

If you did end up in Perth maybe take up some of the offers you have received of free accommodation until you have found your feet. Or maybe could you apply for both jobs in Melbourne and Perth and see where you get better leads and then go? Good luck on deciding I think I would struggling deciding too.

Do you have a type of place in mind? Maybe people can suggest places based on what you like/don't like?its still early days and probably still slightly over whelming. On the plus side loads of people on here have knowledge they can share if you need it.

I think if he has spent that amount of time in Australia compared to 1 year in England his more entitled to call himself an Australian then English. England is not his home he won't remember England so if he wants to stay in Australia I think he should be allowed to under these circumstances.

I'm going to go to Melbourne and visit the neighbours set. The taxi driver was laughing at me when I said that  I get a bit hesitant when local people here ask me if I like it but the ladies in the commonwealth bank told me to go to Melbourne because it's nicer lol
Ive always wanted to visit the Neighbours set, my Australian friends think I am mad and say the English like neighbours more then them lol. One day I shall go there lol!!!

When I send gifts over to Australia I now just send gift cards either Westfield cards or Target as post for sending gifts over is getting sometimes more expensive then the gift. Sorry I can not be of any help, like previous poster I do remember Lush as I nearly ordered a gift off there for someone.

Just been reading up on the posts. There are some really generous people on this forum!
Seperate note hope you enjoy your trip away for the next few days and the blue mountines :-) I loved the blue mountines and seeing the caves. Have fun!

Not sure on the affordability as my friend lives there, its a little further out and has direct trains to Chatswood but how about Epping or maybe Macquarie? Epping is where my friend lives and when I visited it seemed like a lovely area.

Is manly a nice area?
i only spent half a day there but we loved it lovely beach and nice high street. Also enjoyed getting the boat over there ?

Ouch that looks painful, rest up a bit and maybe pop to a pharmacy? I have seen medicare centre's in shopping centre's in Sydney, I think one I saw was at macquarie shopping centre which is a little out of the way but sure others are around the city. I agree with Fifi that food is cheaper at Darling Habour especially in the food court area.
Good luck on the job hunt I am sure your find something if your persistent enough

If your over just ditch some clothes you can always buy new clothes. At least you have the higher allowance on the first flight so your know where you stand for the second flight. Not long now

I really enjoyed Dee why beach. I liked that it had a sea swimming pool by the sea.

Hi! Thought I would log on as remember you leaving at the start of November. Wanted to wish you the best of luck and hope you have the time of your life!!! Look forward to updates on your adventure! Most importantly have loads of fun!!!

I would declare it. Do you have any old work emails that may have any addresses in it or could you possibly ask your old company.
If neither to the above just have a google and try and find where it was but write down that its a guess as you can not remember the exact address. It would be better providing as much information as you can think of then not declare it.
Back to Blighty!!

Wow so lucky to be allowed so much time off! I get 21 days off a year and can't take
more than 2 weeks in one go. My old job allowed me to take 4 weeks in one go (got 5 weeks a year) but never had a job where i can carry holiday over to other years!
have a fab time sounds like a busy but fun time!
