  1. When I go on: http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/ and click skilled workers and follow the link to "Skills we need" and then click skilled occupation list for state it still has office manager on there
  2. What is the CSOL list? I'm an office manager and was looking at WA sponsorship as an option (I know they are changing it so a state see's your EOI or something). Does this mean now in the furture that coming over as an office manager would no longer be an option?
  3. I can also only comment on Perth, but I think Perth is beautiful. The rent can be dear but I think it can be cheaper if your not living right in Perth. There is a lot of outdoor activities, lovely beaches and the people seem friendly. However I can also see the appeal to Canberra esp if you have family in Sydney and Melbourne, some people say Perth is isolated (that is what appeals to me), and if you perfer access to bigger cities then it might not be right for you. I have only visited Sydney and Perth and I love them both for different reasons but me personally would choose to live in Perth. However like lebourvellec says they are changing how they do state sponsorship from the 1st July.
  4. Cheers for that. I might print some extra copies of my WHV grant letter thingy, very strange though as you have to give your passport number when you applied like yourself I thought it would be electronic. When you check in at Heathrow did they question you being a one way flight? Also did customs ask how much money you had? Sorry for all the questions just preparing myself I hope you have managed to get to sleep by now, all the emotion from the flight and arriving probably doesn't help but hopefully your be fine within the next few days. I look forward to seeing some more photos later on.
  5. That's so pretty! Reminds me a little bit of flying to Rome and going over the Alps. Very amazing pictures! Hope you guys manage to stay awake and adjust. Out of curiosity when you got to customs did you have to say you were arriving on a working holiday visa or did they already know?
  6. Glad you guys managed to sit next to each other and exit door seats nice! Hope the journey goes okay, and you manage to get some sleep on the flight!
  7. I unlocked my phone before going on holiday to oz. It worked fine  (It was locked to Orange originally). You can normally get them unlocked for around £5 at a market or certain phone shops, otherwise you can ring your network and get a code some do not charge for the code others do charge.
  8. I have had a look on the following website: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/TravelAndTransport/Foreigntravel/AirTravel/DG_176922 If it was counted as baby food it says yes. It does say check with the airport or airline if you are not sure. Sorry I can not find a certain answer but hope that link helps a little.
  9. Just wanted to say have a safe flight the pair of you! I look forward to reading about your travels and experience around NZ.
  10. I didn't think you were allowed to renew until you only had 9months left on it, unless you were changing your name. I am sure I found it somewhere on the direct gov.uk website, because I looked at the same thing. I might be wrong.
  11. If you go to this website and click finding a visa it will say which visa you could get: http://www.immi.gov.au/ However on a tourist visa you normally have a no further stay condition so would need to leave Australia before applying for a different visa. What visa you can get will depend on a lot of factors but mostly what job you do.
  12. I'm sure others will be better on advice but when I have been over on holiday previously I have got a pay as you go sim card on Libera from woolworths (for international calls) however I am sure others will advise of better sim cards.
  13. I flew with Malaysia in January to sydney and had no issues with them. Personally I just want to get there as soon as possible but if there is a country you want to visit on your way I can understand stopping over.
  14. I just wanted to say I hope you all the best in your choice. I think the 457 will probably be your best option depending on job. (however is a temp visa)
  15. Lol I used to think it was from Australia too.
  16. I love the Aussie shampoo smells lovely however when I visited my friend in Sydney she laughed at the idea of there being a shampoo called Aussie lol Ps my other half washes hair everyday and I say the same thing to him that he shouldn't wash it everyday
  17. Every other day unless my hair is really yuckie looking
  18. If they are living / from the uk, you can apply online via the immigration website and it's free and valid 12 months from issue and you can stay a maximum of 3 months in one go. If they want to stay longer then 3 months on holiday there is another tourist visa they can apply for. Mine in the past have taken from 2 hours to 3 days to be granted in the past.
  19. The end result will be worth all the hard work
  20. Thank you guys It is such a wonderful feeling! Congrats adonna on your degree and your second degree!
  21. Husband and child: ticked Degree: ticked as of wednesday Holiday to Australia: Ticked Immigrate to either Australia or NZ: not ticked Generally I am happy, I have achieved most of the goals I wanted to achieve even though the degree was a lot later then I wanted, My only goal left is to leave the UK for either Australia or NZ. I struggle with the British weather and cold, and can not wait to leave lol.
  22. OP: If you think there is a chance you could come back to Oz I would say talk to the banks explain the situation and offer small payments no matter how small until you have found your feet in the UK. Then when you have a job etc sorted up the payments, or take a loan to pay that loan and continue to pay the UK loan. I hope everything works out for you.

    royal brunei

I flew with them between london and perth 2010, had no issues. The flight was the cheapest it was £520 return each which is why we booked with them. Like others have said it is a dry airline but they allow you between London and Brunei to have alchohol from duty free and will give you a glass. There are two stops, dubai and Brunei with Dubai having a lot to see and Brunei having very limited, but like somebody else has said if its over 3 or 4 hours in Brunei you can do a free city tour bus. They do have on the screens prayer after take off and before landing which made me slightly nevous but there isn't anything to worry about. The air hostess were pleasent and the entertainment was good. I would fly again if the price was the cheapest but if there wasn't much difference in the price I would probably fly with another airline to avoid the extra stop.
  24. I'm really hoping to sit on my own. Hopefully the plane won't be to full. That's annoying that the agent is charging for seats. I know on short haul you have to pay to be able to sit with one another, but I haven't heard of issues sitting next to one another on long haul. I guess just arrive early for check in to make sure it's not an issue  Can you imagine that sitting next to a smelly person or someone snorring for 24 hours! ARGH :arghh: lol
  25. I am not looking forward to sitting next to two randomers....I can imagine my head falling onto their shoulder or something or vice versa
