  1. The only thing fresh at subway is the salad ,everything else arrives frozen.
  2. Coles and tesco are very closely linked ,all the top managers are from England ,I deliver to the Coles stores and all seem to have a baker ,who makes bread etc , but all the do is add yeast and stir in the pre mixed ingredient and shove it in the oven . A lot of the brands are the same as tesco as well .target is about to go with the tesco way next ,as its not making any money at the moment ,so their bringing in a team from the uk to try and turn it around .
  3. I'm going to be alright then, as thats all I really watch over here ,plus the history channel and other bits on discovery. occ, storage wars , pickers ,ice road truckers and of course big bang:biglaugh:
  4. <p><p>Hi chris ,I would have the child restraints anchors fitted in the UK as I own my own garage but I have no idea what they look like or were to buy them ,what I didn't say was we are also importing a bmw m6 as well as the campervan,so what do the child restraints anchors look like and can I buy them in the Uk.Also are you sure that we don't need to change the speedo reading on the campervan ,as we have tried over heere and we can't do it,the M6 is easy we just changed that in the I drive. Thanks Kevin.</p></p>

  5. Hi I don't think you can import lhd vechicals under the personal import system ,so the pre 89 would be your only way, I just found this, http://www.transport.wa.gov.au/mediaFiles/LBU_VS_IB_106.pdf Kev.
  6. I would take this with a pinch of salt ,but I found this link, http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/serial_killers/predators/adelaide/corpses_1.html Ive been on the poms in adelaide site for nearly 2 years and ive never seen any posts about high crime or feeling unsafe. They tend to be a few about hoons or young driver's ,but mostly about the cost of living as with every where else in Australia. Kev.
  7. I'm taking 2 lammy's over in may and I've just bought standard exhaust's ,the export liecence is easy ,if they were registerd before 1988,here's some links that may help, http://www.gearedaustralianscooterist.com/forums/index.php http://www.plsc.asn.au/ http://www.lambrettaclubaustralia.com/ Most sites over there are quiet compared to the Uk,must mean they are out in the sunshine ,riding there scooter's Kev.
  8. I'm not to worried about the seat belts ,but I'm I right in thinking that if the speedo is in Km's ,you can get away with the oddometer still being in miles,Ive also seen that some cars have had to change the windscreen to let in more light ,is this right. Thanks Kev.
  9. Ive changed the speedo face on my camper today to Km's from mph,but the mileage is still in miles not km's does this matter, And yes I have looked through Iron's thread but I can't find the info. Kev.
  10. Hi thanks for the replies ,I have spoken to iron chef, but I'm looking for feed back from people who have been through it themselves,as you always get a different view point to that of the shippng company's , Kev.
  11. Can anyone give me any light on how it went once they got their car over to Australia,we are going to Adelaide ,what they had to do to get it on the road ,price's and time scale's etc, would be a help too. I've read what it say's on the dvla site (sorry can't remember what its called)but you can't beat first hand advice from someone who's been through it, Our cars a 2011 nissan navara if that help's Cheers Kev.
  12. I think you get points for the sale of your Uk house ,we just sent the sales advert .or giving notice on your rental. Also I think we got points for having a bank account in Oz ,which is simple to do on line. Kev.
  13. . They're VERY strict on the 12 months. Check on prices of Hiluxes here vs UK, but as a general rule the Hilux here has very good resale and it's worth doing. And no you can't buy two and send them over, unless you have a partner who's coming with you and can register one in their name, but I can think of more profitable cars to spend 20K Euro on... Can I just check this ,what your saying is one car per person ,as I was wanting to take 1 car, a motorhome and 2 vintage scooters ,I have plenty of time to change one of the owners over ,but thought its best to check now while I still have time , thanks Kevin.
  14. Thanks for that ,The disco is an 07 hse ,I don't want to part with it, as I can't see me being able to buy another ,the scooter's one of the family and Ive already got the sprinter in my name, can you fill the van with your own stuff.Kevin
