I honestly do not know , I guess because they are going to invest alot in me with the relocation package ie visa , accommodation , flights etc then the 457 gives them some security that I will stay with them [emoji53] .. it is a specialist type job and they cannot recruit the position locally

The company appears to be solid and I cannot see any reason why it would get cancelled because of myself .. why else could it get cancelled ?

Im seriously considering getting a container anyway, the company offering the 457 have a number of expats that are already on PR and full citizenship after going the 457 route . It would cost me alot more to get a similar car in Aus to the one I have here , i intend to make it work if i go and I will be going on a reccie soon to visit the company before the final decision is made .. hmmmmm [emoji53]

Can you take your car to australia from the UK on a 457 visa ? .. I intend on staying ..ie applying for PR etc after two years ???

Im British born and bred so no issues with the language test , the company want to get me out for a week trip before formally offering the position , I guess that will be the time to negotiate ? What would you ask for ?

I have the same dilemma , I have a job offer imminent and im trying to work out what is best to do , im seriously thinking about taking my car .. and if so I "think" I should put as much of our possessions in with a container .. we currently live in a 2 up 2 down type house ... so not a massive amount of things

Hi Iron chef I am about to accept a job offer in Sydney . I have a 2005 bmw 535d m sport e61 (estate/touring) 120k miles its a great car and I believe it's worth bringing with me , Your the man though! so what do you think ?
