Cheers .. although ive not officially got it yet .. they have my resume and we have talked at length on the phone , jobwise I will slot straight in when they see what I can do, it should be a formality , im very excited .. but I have to make sure everything else ; ie schooling , housing , living expenses all add up . We live a modest life here and if we can get that plus a little more ..im sure we will be happy , the missus works full time here so I need to be sure we will be ok for the short term on one salary . The company have a number of people that have moved from the UK that have either citizenship or P.R , What type of things could stop me and my family getting P.R ?

Hi . I practically have a job offer and sponsorship in place in Sydney the company want to get me over for one week at their expense , and we will pay for my wife and child . For the week . I have read on here somewhere that I will have to pay $14000 a year until I get P, R . My son is about to turn 6 years old and has just finished his first year in reception class . is this true?? Also are their any other costs involved that I need to be aware of ? I need to make a decision in the next few days ideally . Thankyou all in advance this will be the biggest decision I have ever made .
