  1. Good luck Leah. Are you planning to stay in Melbourne or move elsewhere?
  2. Mel you will get the HAP ID once you have completed the health requirement sections of the visa application. Once you have out yes/no to each of the questions and submit it, a referral letter can be printed off to take you yoiur medical and the ID is on this. Hope that helps.
  3. Anyone else joined the July visa applicants???
  4. Yes I'd agree. Do it yourself. Save the money as its quite straightforward. The only thing I would add-thats if you don't have a complex situation that would benefit from the advice of an agent. Visa app is a lot easier than i thought it woulkd be. Good luck.
  5. PM'd u Fish but not sure if it went through and whether attachment was uploaded. If not, can you let me know pls. Thank u
  6. Brill, I'll send his CV later. Thk u again. I really appreciate it x
  7. Just gets better and better...get me out there!
  8. Looks fairly straightforward for commuting.....brilliant! Watch this space I guess!
  9. Yes you will definitely win him over with those photos.....blinking eck, I'm jealous!
  10. Ha ha OMG that's amazing......sure I could do some testing as well with a bit of practice!!!!! I can't believe that, looks fabulous. Do you actually work right in the CBD? Will definitely get a CV over to you now.
  11. That would be brilliant, thank you very much for that. He's at work but I'll get him to message you with it later. Thk u again!
  12. I would think 3 months all being well for us to get out there. He is a Principal Software Tester and done it for 15 years, so definitely knows his stuff! If you still need someone in a few months then please don't hesitate to contact me...Hubby's biggest fear in all this is not being able to get a tester job! You have been really helpful, thank you very much fish!
  13. Yes he is a software tester....how on earth did u know that???? He does a lot of night riding as well as crazy off road stuff so I think he'd be fine, but again, I'm grateful of that info. He's quite happy to cycle 45 mins to work, think he'd rather do that than drive. I'll just have to make sure I get him well insured in case he falls in a creek!!!!
  14. Yes he's in IT/software so Looking at the jobs advertised, I am fairly sure he will be in the CBD
  15. Yes he does want to cycle most days so if you have other ideas, I'd love to hear them
  16. Thank you so much for that fish. That is very helpful information. I didn't know about the new cycle path so that could be great news for us. Thanks again, that info was great!
  17. Well the visa was submitted last night (just need medicals) so we definitely need to think of our areas to move to now. Anyone else got any info on The Gap, Ferny Grove etc. Our other thoughts are Chapel Hill, Kenmore or Indooroopily. Are these nice areas for our children with good schools, facilities etc. Hubby is a major mountain bike freak, so I think he'll be happy in any of these areas! Thank u for any help x
  18. Ruddy nora...exactly. Although I suspect my husband may say something a little different if they reject us and he loses that money! We are hoping to go to Brisbane as it seems to fit all our needs, so now we wait......and wait......and wait
  19. Hi PomCop. Yes its for a family - 4 of us. And no, if they reject us....you dont get anything back!!!!!!!
  20. Well I have pressed the button....quickest I have ever spent £4,000. Hopefully going to be worth it though!!!! Anybody else pressed the button in July. Looking forward to seeing how we all get on....Australia here we come (hopefully). :arghh:
  21. I would say PTE is much fairer and not as difficult. My husband is english but not particularly good at english when it comes to writing/spelling etc. There is no way he would have got a decent score with ielts but with PTE he has superior english and got us the extra points we wanted. Results back in less than one day as well!!!
  22. Or you could do PTE - definitely a better option than ielts if you want more points x
  23. We had 65 points and submitted 6th June under the software/IT code. How about you?
  24. Yes we just got the invite, so happy. Sorry to hear you haven't got it yet pommie....but you will! ;-)
