Hi everyone we are currently living near Newcastle NSW, have been in Australia a year. moved to east coast mainly cos my family are here. I am a midwife and OH is a boilermaker. OH works on FIFO in WA. 26/9. Anyway to cut a long story short, we have 2 kids under 5, and my family are no help to me at all. I have a few good friends here but not loads. OH friends are all in WA. I also know people over that way. We are seriously considering relocating to WA in the new year as the bulk of the work for OH is over WA. I can pretty much get a job anywhere with my trade. hopefully. We know people who live in Canning Vale, Rockingham and Safety Bay. Would love peoples opinions on what these places are like to live and other nearby suburbs. Not sure if we should be NOR or SOR. I just feel so isolated living over here in NSW. MY OH does too. We just feel it would be better for us, as a family to relocate. Miss our mates in UK so much so think we would be happier in WA, we also have a couple of friends who are emigrating to Perth. Any advice/opinions would be fab. Thanks Nicola

hey kristian, thanks for your reply. do you want me to email you on here or your other email address. i am having difficulty with the required documents for the import application for our subaru. we want to take the car RORO, would be easier for us to have the car leave via HULL, East Yorkshire. As this is only half an hour drive from us. Can i apply for the import approval now, or would it be easier to wait until we have sold our house, put letter of resignation of job, etc in. We have decided we want you to do all of the paperwork for us. Can you tell me what this will entail. do i just complete the paperwork and then you arrange the RORO, customs, etc etc. Let me know. cheers Nicola

hi i too am very confused. have completed the import approval application form, and am struggling to get the required documents. we have been granted our visa, have got our house up for sale now, but unfortunately no interested buyer yet. we havent handed in our notice on our jobs yet as not looking to go till our house has sold. when we do finally get over there we will be staying with my family until we get ourselves sorted with house, jobs etc. i have had a shipping company come and give me a quote. not enrolled my daughter in school yet, not set up bank accounts/medicare or anything else on the list. i have copied the visa grant notice (does this give u any points). also copies of insurance documents, receipts for work done on car. we have had the car for 2 and a half yrs. registration document, copy of quote from shipping company, copy of brochure of my house for sale, driving licence, passport. can anyone please help me and tell me is there any point applying for this import approval at this time, i wanted to get this damm thing out of the way so i could concentrate on all the other things i have to do before we emigrate. many thanks nicola ps. kristian if you are reading this, we want you to do the paperwork side of things for us, just in the middle of getting various quotes for shipping. gonna send the car on RORO. well thats if i can pass the points.

ha ha no problem. lol. i have had a word with my other half and he wishes to definitely take over the subaru. we are going to get prices for taking the car over in a container with our belongings but if it works out cheaper to take it over to oz on a ro ro basis, we will do that instead. my other half says he wishes you to do all the paperwork for us. therefore not sure what i need to do first. am going to download all the application forms for importing the car. am sure u will guide me all the way. cheers nicola

hi there we have a 2004 reg subaru impreza sti wr1 limited edition(one of only 500 ever made in uk) this is the fastest one that was ever made. i have read through all of these posts and see that you mention something about it being worth shipping it over. we have owned the car for 2 years. it has low mileage. can u give me your honest opinion whether you think we should take it over. and price it up for us please, all costs involved. cheers

hi all am wanting to download forms 160EH for chest xray and also form 26E for the medical. want to get organised but on the diac website it always says the site is temporary unavailable. not sure what to do about it. can anyone tell me what i need to do for the medicals. do i need to request medical information from my doctors, passports etc. i have crohns disease (since 2002) but have been well since 2004.
