hey I am near Kingston, made me laugh when you said lovely big shopping centre! the one that is being extended will be the 2nd biggest in Tassie lol yes there is a lot of rd kill, people drive way too fast!

Hobart seems safe at night especially around salamanca, i wouldn't go near the bus mall though!

no our house is poorly insulated! it is nice and cool downstairs but boiling up stairs in the summer! not all houses like ours but i do miss natural gas and central heating, they don't tend to heat bathrooms here just some ceiling heater called a tastic! it is probably healthier not to have house over heated! i wear my uggs all the time really helps

even today when it is 20 plus our house is cool inside, dreading winter

i am so gald we brought all our stuff, there is no Ikea here which is a shame and Harvey Norman prices are extortionate, my advice would be bring what you can! I got my freind to send me some yellow dusters cos i can't find them here! we have bought some things here but Manchester (as they call it, bedding to us) is quite expensive. i tell what is expensive bloody curtains and curtain poles!
