Hi To cut a long story, we have been ping pongers. We are back in UK but hoping to return to Aus. Our visa expires in August 2013. We are hoping to return in July 2013 after our youngest son finishes primary school. The problem is our 15 year old son. He finishes high school this year and wants to go to the Army Collage in Harrogate. The course starts in September this year for 42 weeks. After this, he does another year training before having to sign up for 4 years. We really dont want him to go as we dont agree with the Army but he has always wanted to join from being a little boy. We have agreed in the hope he will hate it. He thinks its all assault courses and fun. Anyway we are confused by our visa. If he likes it and wants to stay for a further 12 months he will miss the deadline to come back to Australia as the visa expires in August 2013. If after then he decides he doesnt want to sign up for 4 years, how can he come to live with us? He will be under 18 (just). Please can anyone advise what options we have if the worst comes to the worst and we are living in Australia and then our son decides he wants to join us after August 2013? We flew back in June last year with Etihad (me & boys 14 and 10). We didnt enjoy our flights at all. The service was not so good and hardly saw flight attendants. the blankets smelt and plane was rather dirty. My eldest asked if he could have a snack as he missed his meal as he was sleeping. He was was given a small packet of nuts. We have flew with Singapore and Royal Brunei before and they were both excellent. Wouldnt fly with Etihad again IMO Jill
