  1. Hi, I'm looking for a hairdresser north of Perth, can anyone recommend someone?? I'd be happy to go to someones house or a reasonable priced salon in Joondalup or surrounding areas. Would appreciate any suggestions. Ta.
  2. Thanks. Not felt home sick until now...need my sisters hugs lol. Started applying for rentals, just the entry dates eem to be around 4 weeks. Thanks for the links. I'm googling accommodation in perth. Deep breath and hopefully things will pan out. Families!!
  3. Afraid it gone from bad to worse. Asked them to be accurate in what they are looking for and they not speaking to us lol. Being polite but sitting in another room ignoring us. I feel a total stranger in a strange house. If I wasn't in a strange Country where I don't know anyone or where to go I would prob just pack my bags and go. This is the has been the most stressful part of the move. Anyone know any accommodation with vacancy at short notice in Perth lol.
  4. Thanks for your replys. I was looking at short term accom and they insisted I stay with them. I don't just buy our meals but for all of us and cook. I wouldn't dream of using what they had bought as it was made clear we were to shop for ourselves which is fair enough. We do the kindness thing with beer wine household stuff and took them all for a meal so I think it is just for gas water and elec. Working on a rental. Not short of money- earn a fortune. It is fair enough if they want lodge but just don't know what to offer.
  5. Finding things very hard the now, I think it would have been easier if we had just booked into short term accommodation. I think it would cause a riot if I just handed them a voucher lol. I was thinking in the region of $300 dollars but don't want too cause upset if they think its an insult. Possible more??? Thanks for your reply moving to melbourne.
  6. Hey there, Looking for a wee bit of advice. Staying with my sister and the family have asked for some lodgings. There are 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 kids. We buy our own food and they said they are not looking for money for accommodation but are leaving it too us to work out how much we should give. Obviously just landing here we don't have a clue as to what cost of gas, elec and water would be like. It is to cover 5 weeks. Could anyone help out with an accurate figure we should offer as don't want to offend them by giving too little but every penny counts for settling. Ta.
  7. I applied to the principal registry of the family division (phone number is 020 79476980) to do a search to see if any agreements were held giving my ex parental responsibility by the courts. I basically received a letter stating there were no record found in the names of the children which showed he did not have parental responsibility. I also highlighted scottish law (lawyer wrote statement) that we were unmarried and the children were born before 4th May 2006, fathers did not automatically receive parental rights, unless you were both married. We weren't married. If you do a search online there is loads of info. I focused on showing I had sole parental responsibility, was acting within the law and I had the right to remove the children without the permission of their father. This with the evidence from the courts rejecting access to the grandmother and the children refusing to have contact satisfied our case officer. I do not have a clue where he is as he just disapeared one day with no warning. That was about ten years ago. Are you using an agent?
  8. I had the same circumstances as yourself and provided parental responsibility orders from the family along with a letter from my lawyer quoting local law(Scotland), and I was within my rights to remove the children from the country. I also provided a statement of circumstances from myself. I included court documents refusing visiting rights to the grandmother after she raised a court action against me for contact (Kids had no wish to see her and after a reporter from the court interviewed them she was refused). I had no problems and got the visa with no questions asked about the biological father.
  9. On the general information for the skills assessment from ANMC it states that if you need to apply for Australian registration after assessment has been completed then you can request documents to the board you wish to register with via your on line log in.
  10. Hi, I'm in the process of getting all my docs ready for applying to get skills assessed. Can anyone advice me of the time it's taking to get WA registration? I had read that if you were already registered then you can apply for a modified skill assessment. Am I just aswell paying for the full skills assessment? I need to pass my IELTS before I can proceed, booked for a few weeks time.
