Were coming with about £10k. weve paid for all our visas, meds and flights by saving up and also shipped 15 boxes, large sofa and chair, fridge and toys. yep i agree hun, i think your absolutely right,and thats what we will do, weve sat and talked and both my son and the rest of us all know its the best way forward, so were just looking forward now to him joining us x

Hi all, I have a new development and im looking for a wee bit advice? I have contacted the education dep and have been assured by the international student manager that as i am a perm res my son does not pay school fees whilst waiting on his own PR coming thru? SO.... hes desperate to join us in jan, so am i correct in thinking.... 1. we apply now for offshore then take him with us on long term tourist visa until his PR comes thru, having to leave to go to NZ while granted? OR 2. We take him long term tourist and apply once there? Help?? Thanks Kelly

as it says, in part d it asks for other family members migrating or not? so do i have to go to the extent of naming my sons step brothers and sisters from his dads side?

thanks so much! i just find it a bit bizarre given its an offshore visa and most applicants will have the child with them in the UK? ok so for the financial aspect i can give a ref from employers to say we have worked for 2+ years? and for the housing question just give info of our uk house? yep were lodging next week, we had thought about doing his med aswell to send but your not allowed so we just have to wait. i seen the tourist idea but the cost of schooling is ridiculous.....

Evening, I posted the other day regarding my son and the fact he has changed his mind and now wants to come with us. The problem is this..... we fly out Jan 30th and at present have bn told the offshore child visa is taking about 7 mths, is there any other option for us? We had decided he would follow us out with my parents in Aug when his visa thru but hes told us this eveing he really wants to come with us asap!! As a mother i feel pretty useless at the moment as i cant see how he can join us any quicker? Is it worth calling Aus House to explain the situ and see if theres any special circumstance we may be allowed?? Thanks in advance Kelly

Thankyou for that, this is the exact kind of advice im looking for. So lets say he stays in scotland and does his highers then he comes out would he then be eligible for tafe? or an apprenticeship? my only concern is then hes finished school so i have to ensure hes still dependent unless i do his visa now he comes for a hol and validates and comes for good after highers. OR lets say he comes out in august next year is it compulsory for him to do yrs 11-12 or is he allowed to say try and get an apprenticeship? Thanks again

One last question, Aus House has emailed all the info but the way i have read it is we have to submit a paper app to them? is this correct or can we apply online as we did with our 176? Altho i knew deep down at some point he would join us i just had to allow him to realise hiself but i didnt quite expect it so soon. And yes kids!! Hi all, I am looking for some advice please? Myself my husband and my daughter all have PR and validated this year and we fly out permanently in jan. My 15 yr old son who lives with his dad had this evening decided he wants to come with us. Ive had a quick look at DIAC to work out which visa i must apply for. Am i correct in saying it would have to be the child visa 101/802?? (i think that was the numbers) dependent on if we apply here or in oz? Can he come out on a tourist visa while we apply? Hes sitting exams in May so we were hopin he can join us in August and fly out with my parents? Any help is sincerely appreciated plz Regards kelly
