Not that this has much relevance to six figure sums but l think its all categories........ l work in disability and uk is offering 7.50 an hour... here l am getting 25.00 to 30.00 an hour.....

It is all good and well saying this is the way to go... do these families have to cough up this money before school starts as most of us have been through the beginning of year costs for your child to be at school... not counting the books etc.... and we can't forget this is worked out on your actual salary before tax ... not worked out after tax.... eg.... $57000 equates to $880 a week take home... hmmm not looking so great now... take home for the year $45,933 and before argument breaks out.... that is with the tax threshold ... so just to open it up a little.... average rent.... $300-$450 per week... food.. bills...transport... clothes... children stuff... not a lot left... and to cap it all off pay private health insurance but hey wooohooo to 457 paying more than some private schools charge...no l am not a 457 anymore but that's how it started for our family.... all l can say is thank god we did it 8 years ago before all this crap started...

Hi there Mel You will find that he will have already done quite a bit of the work already laid out for year 6 in the uk and plus... It is a shame that you didn't put this up sooner as l would have said you could try him out for the Gifted and Talented that they have for high school l think you missed the dead line but have a look at http://www.det.wa.edu.au/curriculumsupport/giftedandtalented/detcms/portal/ We have a son that was in the same boat but made it in the gifted and talented classes in Duncraig... really glad we did he now completed yr12 last year and just started uni. Good luck. Ps Duncraig has gifted and talented and a school based academic extension class which are the same but one is government and the other run by the school but on the same par.

Well guess l kinda let that one work out as l only work 4 days a week so l get long weekends... never see a Monday rush hour....... yep life is for living... learnt long ago that 2 jobs didn't have to mean working 7 days.....

good news is that they say 3 months so anything before that seems like a bonus.... you never know.. ya could get lucky

ok so things not so great .... have you got any written evidence that you have taken mediation ... if not get a copy of anything written down... then tell your company to shove their job where the sun don't shine... they cant touch you if you can prove there is a break down of the working relationship with your job... the only thing they can hit you with out of pocket costs if it is written in your contract that you will work the minimum 2 years ... it has to be written in... if no such thing in your contract you can walk tomorrow and they cant do a thing, and they don't have the power to revoke your visa either unless you broke the law... leaving a job does not break the law especially if you ever had to discuss the situation which l doubt. Also the idiot causing the trouble probably be glad to see you go... win win.....

I think reading through this on their website it would appear that they are not that open in you just showing a certificate..... there are so many dual nationalities here that would all do it to save the costs and time. Be very aware that you can pay for your flights etc but at the airport you can be stopped from boarding for not following the right procedure... to how much you have to pay for tickets it would be a shame to be turned away just for a passport. l really feel that you wont be able to do it the way you are thinking of trying, other option is to go to airport and ask someone on one of the counters that deals directly with this everyday.

l was in the same boat as you.... best money l paid for was going to a book store and buying a how to write an aussie CV/ Resume $19.95 especially in some sectors they are looking for something different than in the uk.... they don't want ur entire history for start.

l wouldn't really push any direction.... e.g. Son when 5ish proudly announced he wanted to be a doctor.... l was chuft to bits that he was already captured by doing something wonderful...... driving to school (we lived in the countryside) he proudly announced he had changed his mind... curiosity got the better of me and l made the mistake of asking..... his reply whilst admiring the fields whizzing by......l am going to be a scarecrow.......... l never asked him again what he wanted to do when leaving school........... l am either gonna be a proud mother or l am going to have to buy a farm..... by the way he is sixteen now.... in year 11 and has set his sights on neurosurgeon ... there is hope yet.... l am saving all old clothes and a straw hat just incase..............
