Hi. I competed in, taught and judged obedience in the UK for more years than I care to mention. I have tried to get into it over here but feel a bit like a fish out of water. The excersises are so different which isn't a problem but I would not be able to compete with my young dog because he is only a working sheepdog (none pure breed) and is still entire. None pure breeds must be castrated or spade to be able to compete in WA. The only way round it is to prove him a working dog and join a herding club and if I can pass a few tests I can register him on the working register. I have been looking into it and have a few contacts. I hope things are still all good with you and it won't be to long before you can get a new pooch. Ali x

Hi Yuills. Thanks for the comments on our photos. The locals think we are mad for going on the bech this time of year. lol. I take it you couldn't bring your dog. I'm sorry, I can imagine how much you must miss him. Alison

Hi Sharon. Mal works Saturday morning but we are free Saturday afternoons and Sundays. It would be great to meet up with a few other fgamilies. Good news on OH job, hope it is going well. Mal is working through an agency at the moment but the company has told him they will be keeping him on after the three months are up so we shouldn't be on the street just yet. Speak to you soon, Ali x

Wow next Monday, bet you can't believe the day is finally here (well it will be soon). Would love to use the dog walkers but money is so tight as we have had a lot of unaccounted for expense. Jack photos look great and he seems to be taking things in his stride. I will try and get over to Byford myself to see the dogs whenever I can. How old is your little on? Our two boys (4 + 6) seem unfazed. Who are you flying with and where are you staying when you get to Perth? Hope all goes well and you have a good journey. We would love to meet up, so stay in touch.
Great news for you and spotty dog. We have loads to do. Getting the dogs a pet passport just incase we have to come home (well you never know) couldn't bare the thought of 6 months quarantine for them. Haven't a clue how much stuff to take. Trying to do all the jobs in the house that should have been done months ago in order to rent. etc etc etc well you know all to well. When do you go again? It must be soon. Thanks for keeping in touch, give spotty dog's tummy a rub from me. Ali

Hi Mally

Yes, we have two of the crazy breed. Mother and son (Hope and Dylan). The third collie on the photo is Dylan's brother Cameron who is owned by my sister in law. I have had collies for years (5 at one point) and compete in obedience and flyball with them. I will be contacting the shippers this week. Did yours cope well with the flight and quarantine? Our Dylan is a bit of a mammy's boy so I'm a bit worried for him. Ali x

Sorry, only noticed your message today which is rather spooky as up until this morning we hadn't heard a thing but when today's post arrived there was the request for our medicals. LOL (Have you got insider info from Oz?) :-)

Congratulations again on your VISA. How are your plans going? Have you set a date yet?
