Gareth 666
Hi All, I've just submitted my Tasmania SS application and I was wondering if anyone else has experience of how long they tend to take with thier decision? Thanks
Kaybe
Mine took around 3 weeks, had to submit a few extra things so could have been less. They are brilliant and really helpful. Good luck!
Gareth 666
Thanks for the reply. Do you mind if I ask what extra stuff they wanted? If you'd rather not post on the open forum then please PM me. Ta
Kaybe
I've been offered a job in a salon so they wanted a copy of my job offer and contract and also a copy of my IELTS test. I submitted it all by email and they usually get back to you within 24/48 hrs.
Gareth 666
Thanks, I've got strong interest from from 2 employers but no solid offer so I'm guessing they may take time to contact them both to substantiate my claim. I sent my IELTS, passport, C.V and skills assessment as attachments on my EOI so hopefully they won't need a lot more.
runslikeafish
My Tas state sponsorship took less from a week from memory. They're certainly very helpful but we'd met the people concerned during our recce trip which I'm sure helped the process. Good luck!

Gareth 666
Thanks for your replies on this. Do you mind if I ask if you've got your visas already and moved, or are you still in the process of either?
Kaybe
I have been granted a 489 visa, only took 4 weeks from start to finish, unbelievable! Moving out within the next 4 months

runslikeafish
We're in Sandy Bay, just outside Hobart. Have a look at my blog (link below) to read some of the story of our move. The last post was a little while ago but the earlier ones in particular may be useful.

smarty
Hi Gareth 666, I know this reply is very very late but just concerned how to get strong interest from employer from outside of Tasmania?
ITas
It helps if you can show there are quite a bit of job advertisements related to your job role and you are already very experienced in your field. Hi Gareth 666, I know this reply is very very late but just concerned how to get strong interest from employer from outside of Tasmania? Hi Runslikeafish, I couldn't open the link to your blog. Have you changed the URL to your blog? Also, my wife is in the process of applying for SS and then later on for a 489. Any idea what the timelines are this time? Cheers!

Whatever the timelines were then they will be very different now.
