Waiting Period for Prospective Marriage Visa

After waiting for ages for my medical to come back and be sent off which it was last week I haven't heard anything at all from the embassey, and as that was the last thing they needed I am really concerned.
Can someone please stop this paranoia and tell me that this is a normal waiting period, as I have seen people apply and get an answer all in one week and my application seems to be dragging on far too much.

I had my medical done 25th july i know it takes 16 days from that i'm hoping to go end of september - will i do it - how long do they take aaaagggghhhh i'm going insane not knowing i'd phone my case officer but don't want to be a nuisance lol
