PDC
Sounds like a silly question, but do we need to varnish or treat the wooden bed slats? All four of our beds have wooden slats, and they don't look like they have any kind of varnish or finish on them -just pine or whatever. I don't particularly want them all to be incinerated on arrival, but with the shippers coming in three weeks, need to move fast if they all need to be varnished (with all the cleaning and disinfecting of other stuff I need to do)! Munchkinella
hi there Pine bed slats are fine. We brought 3 wooden beds, complete with wooden slats, and had no problems.

wright4
I wondered about the same thing but crown told us that there wouldn't be a problem with them.
PDC
Thanks everything. One less thing off my mind - and won't bother too much with my son's toy wooden castle either.
Guest
Another question.... what about wooden photo frames that have a fake woodworm effect and only varnish on the front?
