Having spent 3 months last winter (Oz summer) travelling up and down the East coast, I found there was a good range of shops selling good quality clothes. At the end of the day we all want to move to the hottest country in the world so you don't need much more than shorts and bikinis etc. I had a stroke of luck in Brisbane. I managed to find some very fashionable shoes (I'm a size 13). A bit of a result for me as all the shoes for sale in England in a size 13 are ugly and very unfashionable. If people still aren't happy with the fashion in Oz, then why not have a few days in Singapore. Unfortunately it was shopping heaven for my girlfriend and we spent a small fortune.
