Emma Chee
Hi all I have a 12 month working holiday Visa and planning to go to Aus next Jan. I would like to move there permenantly however so was thinking of applying for a skilled migration workers visa (175) before I go. Does anyone know if I can apply for this and then travel to Oz on my existing working holiday one? I know it needs to be granted off shore so would I just leave Aus for it to be granted and then re-enter on the permenant visa?? (obviously I would abide by conditions of the working holiday visa whilst waiting for the other one to come through) I would be grateful for any advice and dont want any problems at customs!!:embarrassed: Thanks Emma
lebourvellec
You shouldnt have any issues but you should inform your CO once you get one that you are currently in Australia. Your CO will give you a pre-grant letter before they grant the visa - you need to go offshore to get visa granted then return once granted.
