Dreamtime Travellers Rest is a small clean and friendly hostel renowned for its Unique ,Relaxed,Homely atmosphere, its the closest thing to being at home. Family owned since 1990, by an English / Irish travelling couple .

They offer clean comfortable Double ,Twin, single,triple quad and six share dorms all with fresh linen and towels.

The accommodation is set in 3 traditional Queensland homes within a lush tropical garden all just a short 5 minute walk to the esplanade, swimming lagoon and the Great Barrier Reef departures .

It not exactly the cheapest Ive seen, http://www.dreamtimehostel.com/rooms-rates/ for that Price I would expect a pole dance every night in the road out front!

This place was my first experience of hostels in Oz and it set the bar for the rest of my travels, lovely staff, friendly atmosphere and above all clean!! Could do with a couple more pans but that's all part of the fun isn't it and gets you talking in the kitchen!! Defo recommend a stop here
