n8111445
Hi All, I hear conflicting info about which docs need to be certified for a 457 application? I have got pretty much every doc I am submitting signed, however I do not have my partners passport bio page certified and she is now back in the UK with her passport. I didn't think the passports would need certifying? Can anyone pass on there experience? Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance Same as the other replies, I had to send scanned copies of the following, nothing was certified though - Passport Qualification certificates Reference names and addresses I had my medical in Manchester on the 2 Dec 11, all my docs were sent to my employers visa specialist and I'm currently awaiting my visa. Guest marchatfield
Yes my new employer supplied me with one and all I did was spend 30min uploading him what he asked for.
lebourvellec
If you apply online for visas - if you colour scan the original document, and upload it, you don not need to get documents certified.
Guest shiny21
we used a migration agent he did everything we just scanned our documents to him and hey presto 21 days later we have a visa!
Guest oldmarried
Yep, same here, employer appointed the migration agent and I just colour scanned and emailed her everything she asked for. The visa application went in last week and nothing was certified.

n8111445
Do Migration Agents get docs certified on behalf your behalf? Is that maybe why you did not have to get the docs certified before sending them?
lebourvellec
Do Migration Agents get docs certified on behalf your behalf? Is that maybe why you did not have to get the docs certified before sending them? We did not use a migration agent. We have PR but same rules apply if you are applying online for 457 - information on letter from our CO when they requested additional information for our application. "GSM Adelaide accepts scanned copies. If possible, please provide colour scanned copies of original documents. If you are unable to colour scan documents, please ensure that the documents you scan are certified copies. If you send us a scan of the original document, we can accept PDF, JPEG, TIFF or BMP file formats, although we prefer that it be in PDF format."
