whichway
Hi folks, I was wondering what you are supposed to do (if anything) when you leave Australia as an Australian Citizen to live overseas. Are you still legally required to vote? Is there a way of letting them know you are overseas? Cheers in advance.
caramac
You're not required to vote, but let the state electoral commission know - I think I remember there's an online form you can complete. If you forget, they will send a fine to your last Aus address, but you just have to email them and explain. You don't then have to pay.
