sami Posted November 5, 2011 Share Posted November 5, 2011 When someone applies for 485 visa, would they be able to work straight away while waiting for visa to be granted? Does Diac issue some sort of bridging visa maybe, or does applicant have to wait until 485 is granted, and what is the time frame for granting this visa? Guest Kris Rao Posted November 6, 2011 Share Posted November 6, 2011 Yes, You'll be granted a Bridging Visa the moment you apply for a 485. The Bridging Visa will come into effect the moment your current visa expires and will permit you to work without any restrictions.
