Guest lisa maughan
When writing a CV what is the GCE equivalent to over there? I cant imagine prospective employers would be familiar with our exam system here. Hope someone has got more of a clue than me!

Guest joksand
Hi I'd just call them GCE's too - if you try and translate them into the Aussie equivalent it may seem too confusing or like you're trying to fake something. I would just list them under the name of your high school along with the date/year, then they'll realise when and where you took them and hopefully what the equivalent would be in Australia. Plus, if you're old enough to have taken GCE's (no offence meant!!! - I'm old enough too!) I'm sure whatever qualifactions you've got will be overshadowed by the wealth of experience you have in other areas. Hope this helps and I haven't offended you!
