Is this rate after or before tax and if it is before being taxed, how much do you think I'll be able to take home? Thx for any help you may offer. This is a table of tax rates. http://www.ato.gov.au/individuals/content.aspx?doc=/content/12333.htm However a person may be eligible for deductions, rebates etc. depending on their personal circumstances - dependants, work expenses etc. Superannuation contributions will also be deducted from your take home pay. Guest Guest31881 Posted August 15, 2011 Share Posted August 15, 2011 The Australian average wage (I believe) is 65k when comparing wages always check to see if the figure quoted included the superannuation deductions, I believe companies should advertise a wage and the superannuation part of the deal separate, so a wage of 55K should be after the super has been paid.
