jakc
You must obtain documentary evidence of having completed one of the qualifications described above. You should check with your assessing authority about documents that have to be provided to them to enable them to provide an opinion about qualifications and/or skilled employment. You must provide the department with copies of all the documents that you provide to assessing authorities. Source Currently here on a 457. Getting the paperwork ready to get a 175 lodged, as Cartography is on the SOL. I have a scan of my degree (as shown below). Q1 Is this sufficient to paperclip to my app? Q2 Do i need to get it certified (which my mum can do back in UK). Q3 - it mentions check with your assessing authority. Whats this all about, I thought the revised 175 application did not care which skill you had, as long as it was on SOL? Thanks

Ozmaniac
A positive skills assessment is still mandatory before you can apply for a 175. The assessment authority can also provide DIAC with confirmation of your work experience (though I've noticed that some seem to expect you to specifically request that and pay an additional assessment fee). RockDr
Why are you going for the 175? Is your employer not willing to sponsore you for the PR visa? Without sponsorship, the processing times for a 175 can be ridiculous.
jakc
Without sponsorship, the processing times for a 175 can be ridiculous. Mainly cost reasons. My employer will do an 856, but I have tu use the migration agency they use. This means $6k vs around $2-3k for 175. How long we talking?
